Dr. Rendueles Villalba, MD

Dr. Villalba used to practice at RI Hospital (running their partial hospital program), only to move to Butler, owned by the financially deprived Care New England. He now runs their ITP partial program. Villalba may seem like a sensitive, understanding doctor, if not a bit clinical when you first meet him. But his judgments can be deeply rooted in his personal biases. He made ridiculous and insulting assumptions about my "true" diagnosis, etc., with no factual basis. In doing this, he showed zero interest in reaching out to the therapist and prescribers I'd seen for years for their input on his absurd interpretations. I'm convinced that I had hurt his feelings with remarks I made about some people he knows, thus affecting his judgment. If you need a partial program, I strongly recommend the one at RI Hospital, as it's been completely re-staffed.
