I had bariatric surgery 2007 from Dr . Wolfe and she was always upfront with me about the entire procedure. I am so glad I had such a knowledgeable dr. as well as friend! I had a rough time through my surgery, lots of blood transfusions. I truly thought losing weight was the solution to all my problems. However, some primary care physicians i have had since that point, never kept up with bloodwork and health issues that have become serious health problems at this point in my life. I think so many primary care physicians have absolutely no idea how to treat people with bariatric bypass and how to maintain their health. I now live in NY and have found a great primary care physician that has found out so many nutritional deficiencies and now illnesses because of neglect of these primary care physicians. I would urge anyone having gastric bypass to talk openly about what happens around vitamin deficiencies, anemia, kidney issues, etc. These can happen to anyone if a dr does not do… the appropriate testing and maintaining of one's health. I took control to lose weight and have now gained 60 plus pounds back which is something I will work on all my life. I only wish I had known about nutritional deficiencies and if they continue for years, in my case 11 years, what the results could be. I am no doctor so I rely on those that are doctors to be the experts and lead me in the right direction. In this day and age, we should not have to know what doctors know in order to be healthy, but sometimes we have to take control of our own situation physicially and be the advocate we would want others to be for us. Thank you, Dr. Wolff, for being such a remarkable dr. I would love to talk with you in the future and thank you again!

No follow-up after oprtation

The person who wrote about her arrogance and bedside manor couldn't have said it better. BY FAR the worst MD I have ever dealt with. GREED GREED GREED is what fuels this persons agenda. I refuse to call her my Dr. any more. And to blame ME the patient for HER failures. HOW DARE YOU. If someone refers you to her....RUN.

I had several hospitalizations due to bowel adheasions from a prior surgery. Dr. Wolff cleaned up the adheasions as well as repairing several hernias. Have not been back in the hospital for bowel obstructions since.

Doctor is the most arrogant human being with ZERO bedside manor. She placed a feeding tube with a faulty part and her suggestion to remedy the problem was to jerry rig it with anything she could find in my hospital room to plug up the end piece with. She wanted me to walk around with a syringe cap end piece shoved up the G port of my tube so stomach acids wouldn't pour out instead of doing the RIGHT thing in replacing the tube. This is something that some hickville, toothless, brainless, and HEARTLESS human being would do. Why didn't you just suggest duct tape?!?! And just as a side note, maybe your 600 pound lap band patients that WANT to lose weight can live off of 500 calories a day, but that approach doesn't work for someone who has a PARALYZED stomach. Go back to school and read up on gastroparesis because you obviously don't have a clue on the dietary component of this illness. Also, grow a heart while you're at it.

Dr. Wolff did my gastric bypass earlier this year. She is very straight-forward and to the point about the patient's responsibilities for the success of this surgery. She is great communicator and a fantastic surgeon. I had no complications whatsoever and feel fantastic! Have lost 47 pounds in less than 3 months.
