Dr. Reza Dana

He anesthetized my eyes and then "proved" that see, some tearing is indeed possible (2 on left, 3 on right on anesthetized schirmer). Yet I do not walk all day with anesthetized eyes! I walk with my eyes which score 0 on both eyes on a normal Schirmer. Was totally dismissive of any symptoms at all and literally laughed at the implication that I had to keep my eyes closed much of the day. I am diagnosed with Sjogren's but it sounds like this doctor only wants to see patients with Steven Johnson's who need surgery. He literally dismissed my symptoms. Arrogant beyond belief.

I went to see Dr. Dana for a second opinion. He reviewed my situation and explained things to me very well and in a caring fashion. You can clearly see his expertise and I am 100% sure I got the best opinion I could and feel much better as a result. Also his Technician as well as the Fellows that work with him are patient , pay attention, look like a very good team. It is nice to know he is there in case things go wrong.

He and his team listened to us thoroughly, prepared a thorough management plan and has saved my boyfriend's vision over the past 2 years. Will be forever grateful to him.

He's an excellent Ophthalmologist. One of the best in the country, and I've had a few physicians. I'm lucky to have him as my doctor

Dr. Dana has been my doctor for the past 7 years. He has not only saved my eyesight but has been a blessing! He always takes time to explain my condition and go over everything. He always remembers to ask about my family and has a such a good memory. I have received the best care under his supervision. His staff is awesome as well. Highly recommend him. God bless him.

Dr. Dana changed my life... Several years ago I had major eye surgery and my eye surface didn't heal properly and was scarred. It was always red and very uncomfortable. Dr. Dana performed an amniotic stem cell transplant of conjunctiva and literally regrew the white of my eye. Ever since that time I see him annually and am always grateful for his expertise.

My name is Diane Bilis and I am a patient at Mass Eye & Ear. I am so fortunate to have Dr. Reza Dana as my doctor. Dr. Dana is kind, caring, sympathetic and professional. My illness has had me facing some pretty dark days. Having Dr. Dana and his team by my side is definitely what got me through them. Dr. Dana decided I needed a corneal transplant (due to a serious infection). This news shocked and frightened me so much. (I was worried how I would ever get through the procedure). I was treated with honesty, dignity and respect. It has been 10 days since my transplant and I am feeling the closest to "normal" that I have felt in months. Dr. Dana has been my doctor for many years. He has been given me the best care possible. I highly recommend him.

Getting an appointment was no issue, wait time was very long, his attitude was awful. He had no idea what was causing my sons ulcers, basically tried to blow off any questions we had, he got angry stating how many publications he's written, how highly regarded he was, that no one knows everything. His ego was so effected by his lack of knowledge was shocking. All we were trying to find out if he had any suggestions he had to stop these reoccurring episodes. This was the worse experience I've ever had, especially having my son there during his rampage. I have no idea how this man can still be practicing. He may look good on paper but this man is as much of a horrible dr. as he is a person.

Poor and misleading communication. Not concerned about quality of life.
