2018 Dr. Reza quite honestly saved my life. Reza performed a 2 step j-pouch surgery that another surgeon refused to do due to my outward health situation. Reza examined me and effectively decided that a ostomy was not a viable option for me. Dr. Reza removed my horribly inflamed colon, taking almost 8 hours. He powered through and I am here to praise his efforts. He took the time to answer all our questions even when they seemed a bit quirky. He was wonderful and to this day, I keep track of where he is working should I ever have any further needs, he's the only doctor I would trust doing any surgery on my bowels. Can't say enough about him. If you are lucky enough to have him on your team , know you are in good hands.

Immediate problems arose after surgery. I had a high temperature with lots of pain. Left messages for his nurse Lizzy, she never returned any calls. Have had infections twice at surgical site. Do not recommend this group of surgeons.

Dr. Rahbar operated on my daughter in the fall of 2014. He is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He is professional, competent, and kind. We were blessed to have him as our doctor.

Dr Rahbar and the entire UNC medical staff are absolutely fantastic. His nurse, Janet, is also excellent and efficient. I cant say enough about his competency,, professionalism and bedside manner.
