Dr. Rhonda Lynette Hamm, DO

Dr. Hamm is an outstanding physician. She is both spiritual and earthy at the same time. She knows her pharmaceuticals well. I find her easy to talk to and I know that if I ever feel desperate, she will be there.

More knowledge in medication management, very experienced with every type of mental health issue across the board and seems to always be educating herself on the latest studies and most recent medical advice to help patients. She listens. That’s what makes for a great physician. Hands down. Plus, she has no qualms about telling you exactly what your responsibility is to better your healthcare situation also , in a compassionate manner. Hang in there with her. She knows her stuff! A 10 rating and you unfortunately don’t get that in rural WV very often! Dr. Hamm is a rarity in today’s fast paced in and out physician care treatment of patients. We are blessed to have her in Southern WV!

I came to doctor him wanting psychiatric treatment. Unfortunately I had a medical condition. Butter Hamm insisted that I seek physical treatment. Because of this I believe she saved my life. I continue to see her for help in coping with the medical illness. She was extremely helpful kind courteous and professional at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend her to family or friends. If you want a truly compassionate doctor who understands medicine then this is the psychiatrist for you.

Dr Hamm is a caring, helping professional- she is kind and understanding but can be firm and very direct with her patients when needed. She is very busy and sometimes difficult to get an appointment with, however , I believe that speaks both to the high volume of patients she sees as a result of minimal psychiatric services in the area and the fact that those that do exist are not very good, making her quite sought after. I have been in the field myself and worked with many psychiatrists, Dr Hamm is one of the finest I have known.

Would highly recommend this Dr to anyone I know. She is a Dr that truly listens and cares. Staff is very friendly and nice.

As with my experience with most psychiatrists, a 15-30 minute interview, then hands out the prescription. The talk therapists do all the work.

I find Dr. Hamm to be very caring and helpful. She truly cares about her patients and will go the extra mile to assist you in any way that she can.I would highly recommend her based on visits to several other doctors throughout the years, she is at the top of my list.Her knowledge is outstanding and she keeps up with the latest of treatments and current trends.

She is very quick with the drugs...my problem was not addressed, before she developed a trust, with me she pushed me off on someone else. Last visit she tried to write me 4 different scripts, none of which I wanted, I dont want to be drugged up I wanted answers. Dont waste your time.
