Dr. Riaz M. Ahmed graduated from Stanford University with a degree in political science and attended Temple University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his internal medicine residency at UCLA and his cardiology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
