Dr. Ricardo Juan Varas, MD

First of all the person that made the appointment was very rude until it was pointed out and then their tone changed. Figured they were simply having a bad day. Made an appointment for an annual check up which is fully covered by my insurance. I showed up at the office 40 minutes early to fill out the paperwork. The lady at the front desk was pleasant. The office seemed nice and I liked the play area because I had my daughter with me. That all changed when I met Dr. Varas. Simply put, he is the worst doctor I have ever been to! He didn't want to listen to anything I had to say and got frustrated with me because I had a hard time understanding what he was saying because of his very broken English. He basically told me I was too young to have anything wrong (and too young to have had my tubes tied), I am a hypochondriac, I need to change my lifestyle and lose weight. I will be 30 in a few months. He completely blew me off and ran out of the room. Then when I get to checkout they coded… my visit as something else and charged me for it!!!! I will never go back to this place again. It is doctors like this that make people never want to go to the doctor.

I was repeatedly at the doctors office for unknown maladies ( I am not the doctor) and was basically told that I was a hypocondriac(sp) and to lose some weight and come back when I feel better by Dr Varas. This was after not visiting the office for more than a sinus infection for the last five years. I was made to feel like I was not worth the doctors time and I was wasting his. I elected to give the office one last shot and found a SPECTACULAR PA. She listened and helped me. I now will only visit her when I go back to that office. She is worth more than all of the actual MD's put together.

The entire office with the exception of an intelligent PA needs to be fired...They are not proffesional at all..I dont know how the Dept.of Health has not investigated them.. They all need to work in a morgue as they do not treat anyone with sepsect...I will never go there again...Think about it if you need to see Dr. Varas incompetent

If you know that you have a cold and just need antibiotics I am sure that you will be safe visting this Dr. If you are concerned that you could have any potentially important medical issue, I would run far away from this office. They do not change the paper on visiting tables. When I asked them to do so I noticed that the roll of paper is laying on the ground. It has to unroll on the floor first before coming all the way up to the table. I should have just layed on the floor I guess. I got more information from the internet than the doctor regarding the reason for my office visit. I could go on and on about this doctors portrayed lack of knowledge, understanding, and inability to communicate or understand his patients...or maybe he just doesn't care. I have never received medical treatment, or non treatment I mean, like this. If you are a daring person go check it out, but if you just want good genuine medical advise please spare yourself the wasted time and go somewhere elce. This is… my personal opinion based on my personal experience.
