Dr. Vasquez-Duarte graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Medical School in 2006. His internship was completed in San Juan City Hospital in Rio Piedras, PR . He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine/ University of Texas Medical School Alliance in 2010. Then, he moved to Summit, New Jersey to complete a Sports Medicine fellowship at Overlook Hospital. His clinical interests and expertise include management of musculoskeletal injuries, Diagnostic Ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections, fluoroscopic guided lumbar spine injections, nerve conduction studies, electromyography (EMG) and amputee rehabilitation.

I have consulted several rehabilitative Drs. and Specialists and I can say that Dr. Vasquez-Duarte is one of the doctors have helped me most. he is compassionate, he dedicate time to his patients, I assume because he was attentive with my conditions. And besides he is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Vasquez-Duarte is really enthusiastic about Physical Rehabilitation/Therapy as the firts choice to go with, moving along the way to surgical procedures and placing surgery at the very end of the road. In my case, he performed an impeccable, painless Facet Injection in my spine, bringing me considerable pain relief and a lot of comfort. He is not the typical doctor that condemns you to a surgery right out of the gate - (the easiest and more profitable option for most doctors) - he rather analyzes waht your choices are and helps you to make the right decision. I strongly recommend Dr. Vasquez-Duarte as an ethical, knowledgeable physician you can trust on

The worse doctor ever, he think he knows everything but he does not know NOTHING, he's wasted your time, treat you like a kid, really disappointed, won't recommended...

At the end of the first appointment, he stated that a Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant would solve the problem. He never touched me, never looked at any records (I supplied them), never ordered or viewed tests. He must diagnose with ESP. He certainly does not use science. Bet he's Donald's & Daffy's long lost brother.
