Dr. Richard Alan Cohn, MD

Dr. Cohn is an excellent physician. My husband and I have gone to him for many years. My husband has serious opthamologic problems which Dr. Cohn has addressed. We would recommend him due to his expertise and professional manner.

Even though my eyesight was deteriorating I was very nervous about the idea of cataract surgery. Dr. Cohn took lots of time to explain the procedure. He patiently answered all of my questions. Office staff was very efficient and helpful with pre-op and post-op instructions. They even gave me a little kit with all the items I would be needing! By the time he operated on my right eye I felt very reassured and prepared for what was ahead. I was treated with such care and courtesy at the SurgiCenter and Dr. Cohn was right there, before, during and after to tell me about what was going on and to make sure that I was comfortable. The whole thing was so fast and painless that I couldn’t believe it was over. Dr. Cohn followed-up with me after the surgery, making sure that I was doing well and to ask about any discomfort I might be having. A month or so later, he operated on my left eye. Now I can see better than ever. This was one of the most positive medical experiences I have ever had. I… feel so fortunate to have Dr. Cohn as my doctor. He is so professional, knowledgeable and caring. He is a special human being.

Luckily I left this Doctor's practice, A second Opthamologist in the area discovered I had already reached Intermediate level of Macular degeneration. This is after being to Dr. Cohn's practice on a regular basis for at least 5 years or more. Inexcusable, Maybe he needs a refresher course?

I went to Dr. Cohn for cataract removal and am very pleased with the results. He takes the time to talk with you, listen to your concerns, explain options, and to answer any questions that you have. Remarkably caring and capable physician. Friendly and efficient staff as well. I had to wait three months to get an appointment with him, but the wait was definitely worth it. I recommend him highly.

Superior physicIan with proven supwrior record

I developed cataracts earlier than I expected. Been using Dr. Cohn or about 15 years and travel quite a distance to see him last year I had my catercts removed. First I have a serious eye condition that he failed to discuss with me. Secondly I was never told you can et a secondary cataract. I should have been recalled in. 6 months not a year. My left eye is so blurry, had I known about this I would have taken care of it sooner.won't be returning To dr.. Cohn again.

I was very pleased overall with my care under Dr. Cohn. First off, scheduling was very pleasant and easy. Second, Dr. Cohn was very thorough with his exam and I was put at ease after his very careful and detailed explanation of what was going on with my eye issue. I felt like he really cared and took the time to make sure he covered everything and left me feeling assured that I was in good hands.

Dr. Cohn performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes within the past few weeks and the difference in my eyesight is amazing! He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He has a wonderful bedside personality and automatically makes the patient feel at ease. Like anybody else, I was nervous with the first eye surgery but Dr. Cohn is so skilled at what he does that when the 2nd surgery rolled around I was not the least bit nervous. I highly recommend this doctor and thank him very much for what he has done for both me and my husband.

In the past, the Dr. and staff were very pleasant. Recently, I found that there seemed to be an under current of anger. Not a happy place.

I started seeing Dr. Cohn for a chronic eye condition earlier this year. He has navigated every aspect of my care with competency and professionalism. Having been under the care of other Physicians, I feel that Dr. Cohn is the best in his field. His interventions and management have helped to maintain my eyesight. He operates a busy practice but still manages to answer patient questions and concerns. His staff is also wonderful. They are extremely helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Overall, a wonderful Physician.
