Dr. Richard Herman Bochner, MD

Dr. Bochner was great. Best gastroenterologist in Bend. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Was warned, after I went to Dr. Bochner that harm to a friends son by non-treatment/push off had occurred and would not go back. Son okay after out of area emergency treatment had do be done. I found that Dr Bochner said 'try this medication which will not address severe pain at all and set appointment for 3 months out'. Due to covid, they canceled surgery, so I went out of area and got taken care of. They were rude, insulting and threating when I let them know procedure was done out of area. No call, no follow up, nothing.

Bochner likes to over dope you up on Propofol and then claim you need his buddy the anesthesiologist to have to come in and put you under....for more money, of course. Then he will claim your screening is now a procedure that isn't covered 1005 by your insurance. In my case, his office reversed the FAKE coding he put on my chart and I was covered for it. But then he refused to change the FAKE coding for the facility and I had to shell out 1500 dollars. Why did he change it in one place but not two? Because he is dishonest and arrogant. I wouldn't take an aspirin from this charlatan.

Dr Bochner is great! Best GI doctor in Central Oregon. I really trust him with my care!

I want to follow him to his new office. The only doctor I trust and know he cares about his patience. Do not want to change doctors.

Excellent doctor, good bedside, respected by staff and a very smart person. I am difficult at best and liked this doctor very much.

As far as doing the procedure he is ok. But don't expect this doctor to get back with you on biopsy results. He promised to get back with me in 8 days. After a several calls and 5 weeks later I finally got it from a nurse verbally. I would look for a much more caring doctor and staff, and pass on this jerk.

He is abrupt, arrogant, and condescending. He and his staff can be rude to deal with at times. I have waited an hour lying on an operating table waiting for this doctor to show up. I have also waited up to 55 minutes for office visits. I think he just doesn't care.

Arrogant, rude, out of touch

DR.Bochner is a very compassionate and caring doctor. He took time to answer all my questions as well as my entire families' questions. He explained the procedure and gave us the facts about my disease. When my daughter had him paged to ask him a medical question he returned her call within five minutes. In my opinion and my families opinion, Dr. Bochner is an EXCELLANT Doctor!
