Dr. Richard A. Cordle, MD

If I could give Dr. Cordle 100 stars, I would. We saw him for the first time in June after lots of GI complications with our teen son. Dr. Cordle was attentive and thorough. He did a full assessment and ordered labs. Once the results of the labs came back indicating elevated levels, Dr Cordle set up a time to do scoping so he could see what is going on inside and take biopsies. Every step of the way, he has gone over results with us, provided answers to our many questions, and patiently listened and responded to our concerns. He has worked to adjust the treatment plan in a way that we feel most comfortable while not compromising the care of our son. Something that really stood out to me too was that on our second visit to his office, he noticed changes in our son's appearance (improvements due to treatment). These visits were weeks a part! Another thing that means the world to me is that he speaks directly to our son during several parts of our appointments. He asks him how he's… doing with it all, if he has questions, and then responds with kindness and compassion! He empathized with our son during the Q&A appointment for the diagnosis. We have been so thankful to be able to utilize the Lynchburg location! It's a lot closer to us than Roanoke. All the office staff has been friendly. His nurses, Sabrina and Kimberly, are very helpful with responding to messages via MyChart and forwarding any info/requests to Dr. Cordle in a timely manner.

He is a wonderful doctor and truly cares about the children. My daughter has been going here and he very shy but she does seem to like him alot! He spends time to talk with you & never makes you feel rushed or like you/your child don't matter! We love him!

It can be a little hard to get an appointment with this office on short notice, but Dr. Cordle is totally worth it. I called this Doctor after hours on a Friday night when he was heading to dinner with his family because my daughter was not tolerating her formula and he found a way to get me the formula I needed that night within an hour and we were not even a patient of his yet!! He is so caring and compassionate and spent the extra time with my family to help get our insurance to pay for part of the expensive formula and at every visit you can tell he really cares about people and became a doctor to help people. He is truly a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him.

Dr.Cordle was the best. He made my daughter feel so comfortable, I loved him.

Dr. Cordle is by far the worst Gastro doctor their is in Roanoke Virginia. I am not being biased, he has diagnosed me wrong not once but twice. Because of his mis-diagnoses, I now have serious stomach problems. I would recommend that you not go and see Dr. Cordle; go and see Dr. Hart, wven if you have to wait a long time to see him. He is truley the best doctor for stomach problems.
