Dr. Richard Lewis Ferman, MD

He is money motivated and does not care about his patients. He had double billed on visits with my daughter, lied about medications (I did not want her on psychotropic meds), and does not care about his patients. If there was a minus star, I would give it.

I would not trust this man to care for a dead snail. He is money motivated, not patient motivated. He does not listen to parent's request. He was thrown off the board at Pine Grove psychiatric hospital approximately 15 years ago, and had destroyed more lives than he has saved. He has no regard for the hippocratic oath, had doubled billed, and has no regard for his patient's welfare. Dr. Ferman is bought by pharmaceutical companies. Stay far away from him.

Dr. Ferman will want you to come back and see him consistently even if it is not essential. He can't even remember what he has prescribed you from you visit to visit. Imagaine sitting in your appointment and haveing your doctor spend fifteen to twenty minutes looking through your chart to see what he wrote in his notes regarding your medication. Then he you will say times up after he wasted all "your patient time" trying to recall your treatment plan. His door is never closed during your appointment because his wife has to constantly babysit him and remind him he is behind schedule. He overmedicates and then tells you he wants to see you again and again. He ruined eight nine months of my life with overmedicating me. I went to another Psychiatrist for a whole new consultation which resulted in 360 degree turnaround of mental state and ability to function in the world. He totally screwed me up with his overmedicating. Please, do not waste thousand of dollars with him or his wife. … Dr. Ferman and ADHD Specialists are just intersted in money.

#1 This "doctor" keeps you there as long as possible talking about his life and the latest movie he has seen.#2 Then charges you for listening! UNBELIEVABLE considering the average wait for a scheduled appt is up to 3 hours! And he has the audacity to tell you to call if you are going to be more than 5 mins late!#3 His wife lurks around listening in-which creates a very unprofessional atmosphere as well as just plain old creey.#4 I went to Dr. Ferman for 3 years and only got worse.Ferman is nothing better than a high school counseler-indeed! at one point he took down some of my theoris and wisdoms to "use with other patients" as he put it.#5 He is the first to tell you all the meds HE takes!Needless to say I found a fabulous physician and after years of being stagnent I am on my way to a productive life where I will actually help society as opossed to being a burden on it.
