Dr. Richard Arthur Hellander, MD

As another former patient of his, I absolutely agree with the other reviewer. This review sums my experience as well (minus the COVID-19 vaccine as I saw this doctor for a completely unrelated reason): "Dr Hellander is beyond rude and nasty. He pushes his beliefs on you and if you disagree he will berate you, scream and walk out of the room. He is beyond unprofessional and has zero bedside manner. Medical freedom is a beautiful thing, as is being an american, FREEDOM. Trying to Force your opinions on others and becoming irate when they say they aren't interested is absolutely disgusting and immoral! I will be reporting him" I don't understand why Camcare continues to allow for this male doctor to be on their payroll as many staff in HR are secretly aware of his antics, nasty temper, hostility towards his patients, and disgusting unprofessionalism. I can't speak for his male patients, but as a non-white female who was a former patient of his, the way he treated me in his last visit… was beyond disrespectful. I was experiencing issues with my health and rather than admitting that he did not have all the answers to my problems, he went into a full blown rage and heavily implied that I was crazy and need to see a psychiatrist before he stormed out the room and told me to get out. He even went as far as to informally diagnose me with a personality disorder and put it in my chart so that none of the other doctors can take my health concerns seriously. Which is ironic because I personally think Dr. Hellander himself has undiagnosed Narcissistic Personality Disorder. But hey I'm not doctor! I'm just a "crazy" patient with an unruly doctor projecting his craziness onto me, so what do I know? This doctor is unhinged, arrogant, and completely out of order. Unchecked white male privilege is dangerous. If I could give him negative stars I would.

Dr richard authur hallander md is a very smart pain doctor and sddiction specialist he tells u hoe it is he doesnt sugurcoat anything if your doing somthing wrong u wil get a lecture he may be a hardass at times but he has to be that way in pain managment underneath hes a kind caring person and will help u longterm as long as u follow the programs rules in addiction or pain managment

Out of all the doctor's I have seen in my life Dr. Hellander rates the top! He has a awesome bedside manner!!! I recommend him highly!!! When u go to see him tell him I said hi that I moved out of state & the dr's here suck!

I have highly recommended Dr. Hellander to several people in search of a good doctor in our area. Within the first two visits, he was able to evaluate my conditions and, with small adjustments in medications, bring them under control. Unlike many doctors, he is never too busy to take on a new patient or answer your questions completely and honestly. I live in an area with a shortage of good physicians and I can't believe that the medical boards saw fit to revoke his license over what amounts to paperwork.
