Dr. Richard Jarrell Mooney, MD

Richard Mooney, MD, FACOG provides care for women with pelvic floor disorders at Women’s Healthcare Associates of Redding in Redding, California. Dr. Mooney is the only fellowship-trained urogynecologist in the far North State and has been serving women’s obstetrics, gynecologic and urogynecology needs since 1995. Dr. Mooney is an experienced reconstructive surgeon, assisting women with their urinary health. He established the state-of-the-art Asuriti Center for Continence and Pelvic Wellness in 2007, a practice within Women’s Healthcare Associates, to diagnose and treat pelvic floor disorders causing urinary incontinence, rectal incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. With a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Dr. Mooney received accreditation in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Mooney is affiliated with several Redding area hospitals, including Mercy Medical Center Redding and Shasta Regional Medical Center. Dr. Mooney has a passion for helping women understand their specific problems and works alongside each one to help them make the best treatment decisions.
