Dr. Richard Jay Perry, DO

My husband went to dr perry to get a referral to a pulmonary dr .dr perry refused to give him one ,and after half listening for less than 2 minutes he wrote prescriptions ,this was on Thursday ,by Sunday we were at the hospital emergency room and admitted to the hospital. After 10 days in the hospital with bronchitis and an endoscope the proper diagnosis was made. And he is now on the road to recovery. I have never met a doctor less caring ,pill pusher in all my 70 years. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO ALMOST ANY OTHER DR. Even if it’s a longer drive, cares way more about his spray tan and hair dye than his patients!

I called Dr Perry for a referral to a pulmonologist,instead of doing what I asked he prescribed medication .a antibiotic which he forgot to order and steroids . I got steadily more unwell. ,I returned the following week and then he realized he had forgotten to order the antibiotic,this was on Thursday,by Sunday morning I was in Presbyterian hospital in Denton with hypoxia ( low oxygen ) and a bronchial infection. I was released the following Tuesday afternoon.had Dr Perry done as I requested and ordered the referral I could have seen the correct dr, and most of this could have been avoided. He never listened to my issue , before I could finish my medical reason for the visit, he was already writing prescriptions. I can not in good conscience recommend him to anyone.

Wow, Where do I start, what a mess. This Doc is the only Dr in town so he and the front office thinks they can treat people like crap. This is a billing of Insurance business, NOT a patient care business. First visit as New Patient, treated like cattle, fill out paperwork, have a seat. Put in a room 30 mins after appointment time, Dr Perry walks in with the bed side manner of an IRS agent. Ask what the problem is, says I get you some antibiotics. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SEEING OR MEETING THIS GUY, NO WHAT IS YOUR HISTORY, NOTHING. Felt like I was back in the military being processed, NEXT..... Then I am misdiagnosed, did not need medication, ended up in ER in a week. ER Doctor said I needed to see specialist doctor, but my Insurance requires a referral. Dr Perry refused to do referral from ER Doctor and front staff said you have make appointment so Dr can see you. Three days later, get in to see Dr Perry, he walks in, reads ER paper and says OK we get you a referral. … So I had to wait to see, he does no exam, no verification, just wanted to be able to bill my insurance for a visit. What a joke. So, then the very UNHELPFUL staff said I will call you when your referral is done. A referral is one form that is sent to my insurance takes maybe 10 mins to fill out. I am told they will get it in a day or so. TWO days later I call to check and was told "she is working on it should be done NEXT WEEK. Are you kidding me, this is patient care, this is how you treat someone needing help? Outrageously unprofessional, unethical and totally lacking any empathy. Before doing this I checked other ratings and reviews, holy cow, this place has horrible reviews all for the same things. It just goes to show if you are the only game in town, you can give horrible service and still bill insurance companies and stay in business. Will NOT be back, good reddens to this place. I would not let my horses get this type of poor care. I can give you my Vets number, he will give you better care than this place.

DAUGHTER WENT IN FOR A WELLNESS AND THAT'S ALL HER NOTE SAID...NO IMMUNIZATION RECORD FOR A TWO YEAR OLD. GIRL THAT ANSWERED THE PHONE STATED SHE DIDN'T THINK THEY WERE REQUIRED TO PUT THAT INFORMATION IN THE CLINICAL NOTE. IT WAS VERIFIED BY THE INSURANCE THAT IMMUNIZATIONS WERE BILLED AND I DO REMEMBER HER GETTING THEM. WHAT A JOKE! NOW I'M WITHOUT IMMUNZATION RECORDS FOR MY A CHILD I'M TRYING TO ENROLL IN SCHOOL. YES, I'M AWARE THAT I SHOULD HAVE REQUESTED A COPY OR LIKE I WAS TOLD BY THE GIRL, "HAVE MY IMMUNZATION PAPER TO STAND/WRITE ON" BUT I THOUGHT A DR'S OFFICE WAS COMPENENT ENOUGH TO HAVE THEM TO PROVIDE WHEN NEEDED.

you can not speak to anyone when you call. cant even leave a message to make an appointment, it just says to call back later!! worst doctor ever!!!!!!!! I called and left a message for the nurse two weeks ago, still no call back.... I would not take my dog to this place.

Dr. Perry isn't a good doctor, he is arrogant and does NOT listen to his patients. He thinks he knows everything. I saw him for the first time and felt ripped off because he doesn't listen at all to what you have to say. I am disabled and have seen a LOT of doctors. Dr Perry is terrible, dont waste your time. His office manager Lesley Triptow is a first class crab who thinks she knows everything. Shes ride and condescending just like Dr Perry. Dont waste your time. Go elsewhere!

Dr. Perry couldn't care less about his patients. Wouldn't even look at my wife and daughter when they went in. Said it was allergie, but it was bronchitis. Daughter has been throwing up and constantly coughing. A terrible, terrible person lacking compassion and knowledge.

Wow...Dr.Perry is just about the worst Doctor I have ever met. He wants you to be in and out as quick as possible. Horrible, horrible beside manner. I would not take your family here. He is so extremely rude and does not care about your well being. He seems annoyed when you try to ask questions. So rude!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly just can't get over how rude he is. My husband was not feeling well at all..so we went to go see Dr.perry for the first time. My husband told him he was almost certain he had the flu...Dr.Perry ignored him..checked inside his ears, wrote a scrip for inflammation and said "You have an ear infection, take this...have a nice day." We went and got a second opinion and he ended up HAVING THE FLU. Shame on your Dr.Perry.

Horrible manners. Spent no time with me, barely listened and was unwilling to help.
