Dr. Richard David Knauft, MD

I have seen this doctor for over 30 years and trust him explicitly. I was a child with what started out as a benign tumor. It grew back and then with a voracity. I had to go back for two more surgeries. Dr. Knauft and his wife knew that we could not afford the additional surgeries because we did not have insurance. They sent the info of need to a foundation that they were affiliated with and they covered the care with charity care. I am going to see him today for another issue that may or may not be the same thing 30+ years later on my other hand. I would not go to another doctor while he is still actively practicing medicine.

Dr. Knauft is a caring physician. His quick assessment of my hand problem relieved my immediate concerns. He gave me alternative treatments. Once selected, he treated my condition with medicine until such time that treatment no longer worked. I opted for surgery and, following 4 months in a cast, I regained full hand functions within two weeks. His caring attitude and professionalism make him a great credit to his profession.
