Dr. Richard Melvyn Arnold, MD

I saw Dr. Arnold in 2007 - I was in high school. Dr. Arnold would fall asleep and start snoring when I spoke to him. I was a child. I would stop speaking and he was in front of me sleeping and snoring until he would shake awake. I never told anyone this happened during sessions - over and over again. He is a very unprofessional person and does not care about his patients or his job. If he had listened to me he would have known I wasn’t on the right medication but instead he openly slept and snored during sessions. I only hope he didn’t do this to other young and vulnerable people - I’m afraid of the damage it caused.

This individual does not understand the dangers of benzodiazepine dependence, nor does he know the correct tapering methods as he wanted to get me off a strong dose im 3-5 days when it takes much longer than that to do so.

This psychiatrist couldn't put in less effort into the care of his patients. Gives very traditional, run of the mill advice while half-dozing on his sofa chair. It's a shame status and privilege create more professionals in this field than the desire to change peoples' lives.
