I’m not an athlete, but there was a time in my life when I was in pretty good physical shape. In middle age I ran six miles several times a week and I completed the Boston Marathon four time. This all ended shortly after I turned sixty, the pain in my hips was too great. Then COVID hit and I didn’t exercise for several years. I fell into a very sedentary existence. I was referred to Dr. Mulroy. He said, “It’s not medical. It’s mechanical.” He replaced my right hip in March, my left hip in June. I’m still rebuilding strength, but already I feel like I’m 50 again. Everything has gone very smoothly. I’m looking forward to an active life once again. Thank You, Dr. Mulroy.

Six years ago I injured my knee and while being seen for that was also diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left hip. Not one to rush into surgery I continued to endure the bone on bone pain. Earlier this year I realized I needed to finally do something. The pain was so severe. That was when we found Dr Mulroy! Our initial consultation was very informative. Dr Mulroy took the time to tell me about my problem and discussed what my options were. He explained everything thoroughly. Feeling very confident with my choice of surgeon I finally chose to have the total hip replacement that I needed! After that visit I attended the pre-surgical class led by his team . It was very informative! The day of surgery and during my brief hospital stay Dr, Mulroy and his team gave me the best of care and were very encouraging! At my most recent post-op visit he really took the time to explain everything while showing me the device he had implanted and explaining what he had done during my surgery. Dr. Mulroy is an exceptional doctor. Six weeks ago he performed knee replacement surgery on me. The result has far exceeded my expectations. The discomfort has been far less than I expected and my return to normalcy has taken far less time than I'd anticipated. Throughout the process both Dr. Mulroy and his excellent staff have continued to show the support, professionalism and caring attitude I have come to expect. From start to finish all appointments were set up and waiting time for all appointments were minimal. Dr Mulroy was concise and to the point with his assessment of my hip. The hospital was organized and attentive and all follow up appointments were on time. Home PT and nursing was professional and punctual. Rich did an exceptional job with my PT and rehab. Dr. Mulroy has done a fantastic job on both knees He did my Left knee in 2016 and my right knee in 2018. I would highly recommend anyone to see Dr. Mulroy.

I had both my knees replaced at the same time just over two years ago by Dr. Richard Mulroy and everything could not have gone better. He explains everything in great detail and in easy to understand terminology beforehand, even offering open sessions to all who may be considering the surgery. Discussions include what to expect both in pre-op as well as in physical therapy recommendations. Q&A sessions afterwards help potential patients ease their concerns. Waiting time for office visits is a reasonable 10-15 minutes. Once seen, Dr. Mulroy takes the time to answer all questions, never making me feel rushed. Supported by an outstanding efficient office staff as well, especially Connie, I feel comfortable in recommending Dr. Mulroy to anyone needing orthopaedic surgery. I would also like to add that my wife had an elbow bone spur and torn ligament repaired and one knee replaced as well by Dr. Mulroy, both with the same high level of success and satisfaction.
