As a 60-year-old active male, I am incredibly pleased with the results of the L4-L5 lumbar fusion performed by Dr. Nachwalter. After months of PT and injections provided no relief for my grade one spondylolisthesis, this surgery, my first ever, completely eliminated my sciatic pain. Dr. Nachwalter was professional, direct, and informative, which gave me great confidence despite my nerves. I was also very impressed by his friendly office staff; they were easy to work with and made the administrative side of the process seamless. His reputation among the hospital staff is excellent, and he was consistently attentive throughout. I’m grateful to be back to feeling my best!

Dr Nachwalter was very no-nonsense. He discussed my diagnosis, told me the success rate of surgery and that the surgery I needed was very common. I was in terrible pain since June, had an epidural with another amazing orthopedic spine doctor (Dr Wendel) which, unfortunately, due to my condition, worked for a short period. Both physicians were very honest & expected surgery would help. Dr. N's office staff schedule my appointment in less than 24-hours of Dr Wendel reaching out for me, and I was scheduled for surgery in less than 2 weeks. The back pain & numbness went away immediately after the surgery. The evening of surgery, Dr N called to see how I was feeling. Dr N's bedside matter is phenomenal. I saw him 2 weeks later and I was feeling great, aside from incision pain. Almost 6 weeks later, and aside from a little twinge here and there (because I may overdo it) I feel great and am thankful that I found such a terrific surgeon! Would recommend him!

I was treated by Dr Nachwalter for severe stenosis in my lumbar spine. Dr Nachwalter recommended a fusion above my existing fusion. He explained that he would remove the hardware from my previous procedure. He was patient with me knowing I was apprehensive due to my previous experience. He was honestly with potential complications and was able to manage my expectations post surgery. He was super confident that he could help me. After meeting with him on two previous appointments, we moved forward with a L3-L4 fusion. And I’m happy to report that I am now 3 months post op. The pain I had previously is now gone and I am getting better every week. I would definitely recommend Dr Nachwalter and his staff.

I was seen by Dr. Nachwalter for Cervical Radiculopathy that had become unmanageable in recent years. My pain and numbness were persistent and uncomfortable. From the moment I called to make an appointment to my eventual decision to have Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion, Dr. Nachwalter and his team were helpful, courteous, and experienced.
