Dr. Richard Nodurft, MD

Dr. Nodurft is a kind doctor. I don't trust most doctors, but he has the ability to calm me down on my first visit with him and that helped me so much with my condition. He follows up very quickly by calling you himself (not his office staff) with what he was asked to find out. He is so kind and caring and gives me hope that I will recover. He actually listens, and takes notes. He's a gem of a doctor.

The best follow through from any physician I have ever seen. Very calm demeanor, good bedside manner, listens well, seems very honest, sincere and caring. Has been my physician for 13 years.

Before seeing Dr. Nodurft, I met with another GI docotor over @ Scripps La Jolla without even giving me a proper diagnosis his office was calling up my insurance and persuading me to do a procedure. I felt I was a car dealership. The people who supposed to show somewhat of care were more concern about how to generate $$$ out my visit. I haven been a patient of Dr. Nodurft for over two years now. With every single visit that I have had, he always takes his time explaining my concerns. He comes across very knowledgeable which make me feel that i’m in the hands of the best care. Can’t thank him & his nurses enough.

Great doctor and very personable

When I originally tried to make an appointment it was a month wait until I could get it, but I stressed to the person scheduling the appointment that I was not feeling well and worked nearby so I could come at moments notice. She said they don't keep a call list for openings that may come up but she would write a note to herself. Luckily there was a cancellation a few days later and she called me, which is really great b/c some other offices won't even consider it.Dr. Nodurft was very thorough in his line of questioning in order to diagnose my problem. I never felt rushed and he spent time answering any questions I had. He was also very cost conscious with me and let me know all of my options without me even having to ask (I have an HSA account). My next visit I had an endoscopy, both he and the nursing staff at Scripps Clinic were great. They were all extremely nice and concerned with my comfort. They made sure I knew everything that was going on and very professional. I would highly… recommend Dr. Nodurft and his office.
