Over prescribe Opioid drugs, get the patient hooked, and then leave them high and dry, with only days notice to find another doctor. I think it is a great thing he isn't practicing anymore

Having been a patient of Dr. Gebhart's for approximately 20 years, I cannot imagine finding another doctor that could fill his shoes. He has always been there for us. When you see him, you feel like you are part of his family. We have had this feeling since day one.

I have Dr. Gebhart and his PA's. They have done a complete overhaul of DR. G's office.All his staff are very nice except for one PA-she doesn't know how to treat bipolar paitients. One of his PA's is fantastic and her name is Michele and I love her so much when she took over my neck injury.The only thing of that I don't care for is their open 8am--5pm but they stop answering the phone I needed help ,eventually I had to go the Good Sam North ER. So far Dr. G has diagnosed every problem right,especially with my mental problems!

I have been a patient of Dr. G's for over 10 years. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing. He is always pleasant and treats his patients kindly and humbly. I wouldn't trade him for the world! He rocks! So what if you have to wait in the waiting room past your appointment time, most of know the wait and don't have a problem with it. As far as his office staff goes, I have never had a problem and they have always been polite and helpful.

I was a longtime patient of Rick Gebhart. He seemed to try to treat me. Even claims he too has fibromyalgia, which I do have and he was treating me for. Unfortunately, his staff and office LOST my previous DR's records AND the records from Ricks office are so incomplete it is useless. Even though I always saw Rick.....during every visit his staff would just barge in while he and I were in the exam room. Very....no more than rude. But Rick ALLOWS this to go on so it is all upon him. I also do testosterone replacement therapy which Rick took over prescribing the testosterone and the blood tests, I have always self injected....well, one day Rick tells me HE too is on TRT BUT he has to have his nurse inject him every 2 weeks because he began abusing it when he injected himself. THAT right there should have been a huge red flag.....a DR that can't even self administer TRT without abusing it? Tells me a lot about his character. I regret ever seeking him out back in 2004 BUT I had heard he… was very familiar with fibro and chronic fatigue. I should have sought out a specialist instead of letting Rick play with my serotonin levels and what not over the years......he often referred to me as his "number one fibro patient" which meant I was his worst case. Oh well, I am now going to go see a real specialist and maybe get some long overdue help.

Dr. Gebhart is very easy to talk to. He will treat you like a friend who works to help you with your health issues, not just a patient. His staff is always friendly and helpful. I give him 5 stars without hesitation.

The most unethical behaviors I have ever seen from a physician and office staff. The nurse practitioner Donna Vogel gives you 30 seconds of her time then charges your insurance the highest possible rate that she can by upcoding your office visits. Donna is also notorious for having Dr Gebhart co-sign on her office visits, which is another way to charge your insurance a higher cost. In reality, Dr Gebhart never came into the room and participated with my office visits all of the times that he co-signed for them. He knows what he is doing when he signs off on Donna's office visits that he has no part of and he knows it is insurance fraud. Another unethical practice that did not surprise me at all when I found out is that Dr Gebhart keeps alcohol in his office and drinks IN THE OFFICE after EVERY SINGLE SHIFT he works. I don't know how it is legal or ethical to become inebriated at your place of employment - Especially when you are the OVERSEEING PROVIDER for the entire office. The fact… that the person who handles my healthcare (when I can actually get in to see him without waiting 4 weeks...) drinks alcohol on a daily basis inside of the office that he practices out of is unnerving to say the least.

Worst care I've ever received from a Dr's office! Office staff is less than helpful. Seems to be a case of the blind leading the blind. Gebhardt is always booked for appointments and you will always get stuck seeing the incompetent Nurse Practitioner and get charged the same office visit fee. There is always a hour plus wait only to be herded out like cattle when you finally get to see the medical professional. Nursing home style care pill pushing services! Would never recommend to anyone!
