She then proceeded to Boston, MA for her training in General Surgery at Tufts University/New England Medical Center. She has trained with the breast surgeons at the Faulkner Hospital/Brigham and Women%u2019s Health Care, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Aihara was a fellow in the Trauma/Critical Care Department at Boston University School of Medicine. She was on the faculty as Co-Director of the Breast Clinic at the Boston Medical Center. She was recognized as the %u201CPhysician of the Month%u201D in Oct., 2009 by Lee Memorial Health System for going the extra mile in the care of her patients.
