Dr. Riggs B Roberts has the following 2 specialties
A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. In some cases, a psychiatrist will only provide the medication and the counseling will be provided by another healthcare specialist, like a certified counselor or psychologist.
Like other doctors, psychiatrists employ diagnostic tools like CT scans and MRI in order to observe the structure and function of a patient's brain.
Once a diagnosis is made, these specialists may use behavior or cognitive therapy in order to address the patient's condition, or a multitude of other types of therapy, in conjunction with or in place of medication.
A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.

This Dr is dangerous. He overmedicates people to addict them to powerful "legal" drugs simply to ensure they return visit after visit while he makes money hand over fist. He has no integrity. Myself am a victim of his negligence. I have also met others who have fallen victim to his abusive prescribing ways. Anyone that supports his methods is of poor judgement and likely become dependent on this quack to prescribe their medications. Do not be fooled by the Harvard degree, there are criminals in very walk of life and this "dr" is a criminal. Stay clear of this one. God bless you all who seek help, it is out there, just avoid this one like the plague.
I have to take exception with the bad reviews written here - - obviously from newer patients still lashing out at the world, unwilling to do the psychological heavy lifting required for self-improvement. For those willing to endure psychological boot camp and actually get better, Dr. Roberts is the best of the best!
Dr. Riggs Roberts may have his medical degree from a highly accredited college, however one must question when a doctor with so much called knowledge blames a victim of domestic violence for the abuse her children and she had to endure and continues to endure even when they have as mother and children have tried to safely move on from 2010 and it is now 2013 and her ex-husband continues to break a 15 year protective order and continues to stalk her and her children and she continues to call the police and he continues to serve time for the violations and gets out of prison and lays in waiting. Calls his patient an irresponsible parent due to being literally beat almost to death, and that's the reason why she is unable to remember at times and has major depression, anxiety attacks, PTSD, and major migraines from the continual blows she took to the head and brain area. However, this woman worked 20 years in retail. 10 years in a Management position always promoted, raised her 4 children on her own as a single mother prior to her abuser when their father walked out after 15 years of marriage and worked full time, went to school full time and also had to take on a second part time job just to put food on the table for her children who were in middle, elementary and as young as a year old. Then for 2 years she had 4- different schools high school, middle school, elementary school, and head start and then start her day as a Unit/Pricing Marketing Manager for a Big Box Company with 150 employees under her belt and pricing she was responsible for and making sure she had everything done correctly as her job was on the line as CUSTOMERS ALWAYS CAME FIRST AS CONSUMERS SHOULD! That's my story or my version, Dr. Roberts can have his own as I would always encourage my fellow employees and empower them, not call them irresponsible, when I'm a person in charge. I take full responsibility as A MOTHER, AS A VICTIM OF DOMESTIC,(I DO CALL THE POLICE-OR HE WOULDN'T CONTINUE TO BE SERVING TIME-HOWEVER DO YOUR HOMEWORK! IT'S ONLY A MAXIMUM OF A YEAR) HE WILL ONLY SERVE 6 MONTHS! Dr. Roberts needs to be reviewed by his peers, however the sadness is the island of Maui as a whole. The State of Hawaii is so uneducated and Dr. Riggs Roberts needs a safety plan when another patient who has an illness triggers another patient and she literally goes into a spiral in front of him and his staff and her case manager from APS as the patient literally needed 911 to be called does nothing and goes on as nothing happened. What is wrong with this picture? CAN SOMEONE FROM THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN'S NATIONAL ALLIANCE COALITION PLEASE COME AND TRAIN DR. RIGGS ROBERTS, HIS STAFF, AND APS so that no other women, child or anyone who has ever had to go through what I had to go through at Dr. Roberts office and then be blamed as an irresponsible parent!
