Rima B. Carlson, MD

My last visit with Dr. Carlson was literally, just that, the last visit. I hadn't seen her in over a year because she had been away. This visit was my last ditch at deciding if I needed to look for a new GP. I really don't like switching because I value the continuity and history involved in making sound healthcare decisions with a primary care physician. But after this visit I am convinced that I don't feel supported by her. She came into the room, very brusque with no eye contact. Swooped to the computer, introduced the intern and then looked to see why I was there. She was with me for all of 8 minutes. ( I was early.) So no need for the rush, no need to fumble with records in front of me. She asked 2 questions which should have been obvious and then dispensed quick advice that wasn't relevant. In the past she has used up a good portion of our time talking about herself and her outdoor experiences.
