Dr. Robert Alexander Behar, MD

Horrible. Would not recommend. Rude and not attentive.

If I could give less that a star I would. Dr Behar is a horrible, mean little man who cares for no one but himself. He belittles everyone he comes in contact with. Don't waste your time, find another Dr. This man is awful.

My wife and I are just dumbfounded by our experience with Dr. Behar. How can someone like this STILL be practicing medicine? His ego clearly gets in the way of any kind of decent Doctor/patient relationship. His bio describes him as a child prodigy in medicine, but I'd guess he missed out on developing social skills by going to med school so early.It is fairly obvious that Dr. Behar is in medicine to make money, not provide the wisdom/care/advice one expects from a good Doctor. After leaving his facility, we sought two additional opinions because his proposed diagnosis/treatment was so expensive. Both of the other oncologists we met with recommended fewer procedures, and less expensive modes of treatment.I'm not sure where the first review on here came from, but it sure looks like a fake. Avoid Dr. Behar at all costs, there are plenty of other great options in the Houston area.

Dr. Behar serves as COO of this small little overpriced hospital. He does everything possible to suck the very most money out of your pocket that he can. His only concern is money and how to make it. Medicine unfortunately is the way for him. Often times over treats patients. I was not impressed decided to get a second opinion and I am glad I did. I would not go back.

I went with my mother to see this man with the gigantic ego. After waiting over an hour, he finally appeared, immediately informing us of how busy nad important he was. His examination of my mother was cursory, at best. He also did not have several details of her case correct. He immediately told her she needed six weeks of radiation treatment, and needed to start immediately.She inquired about getting a second opinion at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He immediately became quite angry. He tols her they could do nothing that he could not do better, and that he found it an insult for her to question his judgement. At that point, my mother chose to get up and leave the presence of this man. My mother was courteous and respectful to him throughout.He then billed her at the highest rate he could, for the fifteen minutes she spent with him.

Dr. Behar and his staff are fantastic. He doesn't give up on patients. Many of his patients were given terminal results from other physicians, they are still alive and doing well thanks to Dr. Behar. If you want the best treatment possible go see Dr. Behar.
