Dr. Robert Atlas, MD

Dr Atlas is one of the best Drs I've ever met in my life. He truly cares for his patients. I have a very complex case and a history of a previous late term loss. I went to many consults around the DMV area and many other Drs were not even willing to listen to me. However, Dr Atlas and his team (Malissa) showed compassion and truly cared about me as a patient. He has great bedside manners and takes his time to truly listen to you, explain everything, and come up with solutions as good Drs should. If I did not live so far, I would choose him as my MFM in a heartbeat.

A truly caring, compassionate and knowledgeable Doctor. Sadly I lost two children in my 2nd trimester due to an incompetence cervix. After my losses I researched many Doctors and treatments before deciding on consulting with Dr. Atlas. During our first meeting he throughly reviewed my records and clearly explained all of my options without dictating what I needed to do. After many consults with other Doctors and many hours of research on my condition I finally felt in control of my treatment. He gave me hope. I ultimately chose to have a pre-pregnancy robotic trans-abdominal cerclage preformed with Dr. Im and Dr. Atlas. Afterwards during my high risk pregnancy he listened to all my concerns and fears without dismissal, encouraging me to come in anytime I felt anxious. Towards the end of my pregnancy when I started to have complications Dr. Atlas took immediate action ensuring the safe delivery of my beautiful baby girl. His NP and team were incredibly kind and compassionate… throughout my high risk pregnancy. I always felt as if I was listened to and taken care of, never rushed or dismissed. I am forever grateful to Dr. Atlas and his staff.

Dr. Atlas was the most amazing doctor I have ever encountered. He made sure to listen to me and then give sound advice. He explained everything in detail, the Great, the good, the bad and the ugly. He is thorough and his bedside manner is unmatched. He helped me get to viability and surpass it with my now 10 month old. There needs to be hundreds more Dr. Atlas' in the world.

I would NEVER EVER recommend this doctor to anyone him or his office! They are very disrespectful. Scams. Hurtful and no remorse for humanity. Please stay far away from this office him and his fake medical team! When he approach you he begin his speech as in “This is the come to Jesus meeting” what type of gothic person are you. There are plenty more specialized doctors in the field. He recommend you to do things before diagnosis medically even when you don’t have a “medical condition” a huge, nasty, disrespectful scam. Be aware.

I could not have chosen a better doctor - I would recommend him to anyone! Excellent bedside manner, great rapport with his staff, extremely sensitive to the needs of high-risk patients, really cares that parents feel like they have some control of treatment.

I went to see Dr. Atlas for a second opinion on cause of my second trimester miscarriage and potential myomectomy. He was very pleasant and easy to talk to; also funny which I can appreciate in a tense situation...or anytime. But more than that, he was VERY thorough! He talked with me, performed an exam when our conversation left some holes, even ran a test for an infection that is associated with miscarriage but not commonly checked for. No one else had even mentioned this test to me (he was my 3rd opinion). Then, he called me back within 2 weeks with the results without me even having to call! I would love for him to be my doctor but I don't want to have the restraints of a Catholic hospital....But, if that's not a concern for you, I highly recommend him despite the very long wait to see him...close to 2 hours. Bring a book!
