Met with Dr. Banco 3 times prior to making my decision. I never met a doctor or individual who made me feel so confident that he was physician i wanted to fix my back. Took the time and interest to explain in detail how he would fix my 50 year old back issue. My surgeries were July 17 and 20 and did not want to write this until i felt healed....it has been 8 months and am now healed. Great work Dr. Banco. Thank you Ed Gallin

Dr. Banco is both an exceptional surgeon and person. He takes the time to educate his patients and prepare them for all possible outcomes but provides statistics in general and from his own practice so that you are prepared. His office staff is also great and helps support the whole process. He is kind and caring as well as an expert surgeon.

I had severe scoliosis until one month ago. Dr Banco preformed major back surgery and was able to straighten out my lower back. I am now ( 1month later) walking miles a day with NO back pain. I would highly recommend anyone with back pain to make an appointment with Dr Banco. He will always recommend the best solution and will only recommend surgery if it is right for you.

Dr. Banco is very kind & compassionate as well as very skilled. Very responsive when questions arise. This was my second back surgery with him (10 years apart), with the first being a microdiscectomy and the most recent a lumbar fusion. I would definitely return to him if need be!

After many months of extreme back pain, trying all sorts of treatments including cortisone shots, PT, etc. I got total relief after Dr. Banco performed surgery on me. I was walking without any pain the night of the surgery. Within a few months I had resumed all of the activities which the pain had prevented.

I was a healthy young professional when I went to Dr Banco with a single level disc issue. He operated and put 3 fixation screws in the spinal nerves of my legs. I was left like that for weeks while I was in agony. He went into my abdomen again and I woke with permanent neurological damage to my pelvic and colon. The fusion then failed. HSS in NYC had to pick up the pieces. I’ve also had to have a stoma since the nerves to my bowel were so destroyed. I am now permanently disabled with very poor quality of life

I had a c8 nerve decompression and fusion of c7/t1. Dr Banco's bedside manner and compassion is exceeded only by his skill as a surgeon. I was suffering a debilitating condition that was only correctable by this means. It was a tough surgery but I would do it again! CS

Dr. Banco is the kind of Dr. that you are completely comfortable putting your life in his hands. Dr. Banco is a rare breed a gifted surgeon he is all about the patient he is amazing! The Dr. is kind, understanding, informative, he allows you to ask any question and explains in simple terms . He operated on me in 1995 and gave me my life back and now he is operating on me again. I sincerely thank you Dr.
