As a skilled physician, I found Dr, Benedett to be very good. However, I found his personal demeaner to be cold, brusk, hurried, as though I were an object under his examination and not a person to be considered. He also, amazingly, has a policy of retribution (punishment) with regard to missed or rescheduled appointments. For instance, I live near Joplin where he has appointments on Fridays. If you have to reschedule an appointment or missed an appointment in Joplin, you can't get another appointment in Joplin even if one is available. You will be required to travel to Springfield for all future appointments. That is retribution. On my first and last appointment in Springfield, I told Dr. Benedett that I would no longer be seeing him because of his policy of retribution. The man flew into a rage, getting very close to my face to "tell me off" in a very nasty way. How childish and extremely unprofessional!

I had a vitreous detachment today. My vision was compromised and I was scared. Dr. Benedett worked me in upon request from my eye doctor. Not only did he work me in, he fixed my eye with the laser right then, right there in the office so I do not have to worry about a retinal detachment or losing my sight! I am so grateful!

I went here after another doctor tried to get me to have rapid eye surgery right after I told him I wouldn't be back until I paid off his sky high bill. I went here for a second opinion and the doctor could not find the supposed problem. I got the bill and it was very reasonable. Everyone is very nice and kind and it was worth the long drive.

My experience with Dr. Benedett has been very good. The staff have been very good to work with. This last time though the appointment person for a particular procedure had set my appointment without even talking to me first. Since I am a professional person who sees clients/patients, she should have waited to talk to me. I was able to rearrange my clients this time.
