After years of disappointment with a large Ophthalmology group and knowing I needed cataract evaluation and treatment I decided it was time to search for a new Ophthalmologist . That search led me to Dr. Brass . I scheduled an appointment with Dr Brass at Brass Eye Center , Latham NY . I’m happy to share that from my very first appointment and cataract evaluation through my 2 eye cataract surgeries and post operation appointments that I have been completely satisfied and appreciative of Dr. Brass and his wonderful staff . I now have 20/20 vision and I am seeing better than I thought possible . Dr. Brass takes time with his patients to explain his findings and recommendations. He takes time to listen to and answer questions . He also shows sincere warmth and kindness toward his patients. The Staff at Brass Eye Center are professional , courteous, and work like a great team . The offices both in Latham & Clifton Park NY are welcoming , clean and comfortable . I don’t usually write… these sort of reviews but I’m so pleased with my experience with Dr.Brass and Brass Eye Center that I had to share .

I went to Dr. Brass for a consult, post surgery elsewhere. I was immediately scheduled for an early morning appointment. Dr. Brass showed interest in my eye issues, took time to explain each aspect of my concerns, prescribed appropriate medication and follow up visits with him. He was reassuring and professional as was his entire staff. How fortunate for me.

Dr Brass is an excellent doctor, but he has become very arrogant and was not willing to take the time to answer questions about my procedure. He also did not apologize for the 2 hour wait in his office. I found his behavior uncaring and rude.

Recently Dr. Brass has performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. He takes the time to make sure his patient has the best vision outcome, by explaining various options and even informing the patient step by step what he is doing during the actual surgery. Dr. Brass did something I have never had experienced with other physicians, he called me hours after surgery each time to see how I was doing. He really cares that each individual patient gets the best visual outcome. My results are 20/20 vision in both eyes. I will only require a pair of drug store readers, my distance vision is excellent. Also, my main concern was not being able to see at nighttime when driving. Well, I can't remember a better experience when driving at night than post surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Brass for not just cataract surgery but anything to do with your eyes.

Dr. Brass performed my cataract surgery. The entire staff at his office is friendly, professional, punctual, thorough, and caring. They all contributed to a happy outcome. I would very highly recommend Dr. Brass and his staff!

I had my cataracts surgery for my left eye done on Sept. 4th and my right eye done on Sept. 17th and I am so happy I had them done! I can now drive without glasses and can see perfectly without them! The surgeries went so easy! Dr. Brass and his team were wonderful, both times! I have swallowing problems and I'm claustrophobic, so I was a basket case, but both times, Dr. Brass and his team kept me calm and helped me in every way, calming me and helping me in every way possible. Kudos to you and to the Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center, Dr. Brass, you are all the best!

When I recently needed cataract surgery, I was very concerned about where to get the best treatment. After checking with friends and family, who had this surgery, they were very eager to recommend Dr. Brass. My treatment and eye surgery at the Brass Eye Center was amazing. Dr. Brass and his staff were friendly, professional and they helped ease my anxiety by taking the time to explain my treatment options and the outcomes that I could expect after surgery. My surgery was painless and the eye drop regime post op was very important. Today, I have 20/20 vision and my only regret was that I should have had the surgery sooner.
