Dr. Robert Randolph Brinson, MD

Dr Brinson saw my mom at St Thomas Ascension in Murfreesboro TN when she came into the hospital with severe abdomen pain. After 3 CT scans, over the course of 3 days his “diagnosis” changed 3x and he did NOT listen to her or her family. He was in a great hurry each time he came into the room. Ultimately we were able to move her to another facility where surgery was required immediately.

Dr. Brinson has treated me for decades and I know him to be a competent, caring doctor who goes out of his way to listen to his patients and address their concerns. Granted, this sometmes means patients have to wait awhile, although this has gotten better. Bring a good book! I note that most of the complaints about his staff are several years old. There have been some personnel changes, and the staff has improved dramatically. I find them friendly, caring, and efficient. Just today one of them helped me with a prescription after regular office hours. One complainer says she "saw the confederate flag on the wall" and "we all know how offensive the confederate flag is" (logical fallacy of begging the question). Actually she saw a painting of a battle in which one side carried ONE Confederate Battle Flag (not the official Confederate Flag) and the other side carried TWO Union flags. If you're going to complain, at least tell the whole truth.

These people have no respect for other people's time. I had a 9:30 appointment but didn't see the doctor until nearly three hours past appointment time which was about 12:15 pm. I won't be going back to Dr. Brinson. The person who was with me had to be at work at 12 noon. Since my appointment was for 9:30 I thought I'd be out long before 12:00. If you value your time don't go there.

Dr. Brinson is an awesome, caring and professional physician. His staff are cordial and helpful. I think you will be pleased to get to know this team for yourself. Yes, you may have a wait as with any doctor who really cares about his patients but it is worth it to get personalized care and be able to ask your questions of someone who will listen to your concerns.

Awesome Doctor and Staff!! We live in a microwave society where some people compare service in a Doctor's office to going thru the drive thru at a fast food restaurant. You can zip through quickly but find out down the road that you have stale or cold food. I nearly cancelled my appointment after reading the low marks given this Doctor until I realized the majority were complaining about the amount of time the Doc takes with his patients. Taking time with his patients......me.....my health......I think I want that discipline in my doctor! I got excited. Upon entring his office, I found the staff to be wonderful! They were friendly, professional and pleasantly chatty in an old country doctor kind of way that puts you immediately at ease. I want to partner with my Doctor to improve my health and to know he has the same commitment to me. Dr. Brinson actually sits down and takes the time not only to ask you about your problem but to listen and talk to you. Plus,… Plus, Plus! He may not rush you in and out at break neck speed but his professionalism and concern for your health is exemplary!!! I am so glad to have found Doctor Brinson and I believe you will be too!! Dr. Brinson's office offers a warm personal touch that is sadly lacking in so many doctors offices today. My experience was 100% pleasant!! Awesome Doctor!! Was greeted when I entered the office. My appointment was at 3:15 pm and I was seen at 3:15 pm. All staff smiled and were polite. Dr. Brinson took his time to listen and to talk with me about my gastro problems and to look over my paper work with me. Found this to be a great fit for me as I am new in town.

I came into the office both receptionist had their back turned so I said "Good morning" they both spoke and continued what they were doing. Not, just a minute, how can I help you...silence. it was very early one still had wet hair and was clearly not happy about being at work. Then I turned around and saw the confederate flag on the wall, that was all the information I needed. I would have been a new patient, but we all know how offensive the confederate flag is. My blue cross card will be usedat businesses with a bit more empathy and respect for all potential patients.
