Dr. Robert Jerry Brunner, MD

Was lucky enough to get a colonosopy and endoscopy done by Dr. Brunner fairly quickly. He has a great beside manner. I felt comfortable in asking him questions. If you are looking for a good gastro. doctor, do not hesitate to go to Dr. Brunner. You will definitely not be disappointed!!

Most caring doctor I have ever met. Dr. Brunner took care of my dad in the hospital in lij where he did his endoscopy and colonoscopy. He took very good care of him and explained everything very thoroughly! He makes you feel like family and is exceptionally smart! Can’t wait to go see him for my appointment too

Awful Doctor. Terrible bedside manner. Didn’t seem to know what he was talking about. Fumbled on his words. Didn’t know how to help me. Then double billed me and threatened to take me to court.

I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Brunner at Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream. I was having a colonoscopy. The prep for this procedure is awful, but having such a nice doctor helped.

In endo center: I was treated rudely, my rear end was left uncovered, i was harshly spoken to , to get into position while I was under the effects of the medication. After procedure he told me about my results while my head was foggy. While my sister & I waited to him to speak to us, he was in procedure, dos we waited, waited & waited. When he did come to the room, he did not listen to questions, basically ignored any questions or concerns. I left with the pain I came in with and with no plan of care and I never received a copy of my procedures. He was distant, aloof, uncaring and acted as though his presence was above anyone else's and haing questions was disruptive to his time. It was as though I was there for his time to do the procedure rather than he, as a physician being there to care for the patient. He is very disappointing in his attitude, time and care of patients.

Although Dr. Brunner was very nice, kind, and attentive to me on my first office visit, he didn't do anything to follow through. He basically charged me up the behind literally, because he told me I needed to do a colonoscopy that him and his staff told me I wouldn't be billed separately for - but ended up getting 3 additional bills for. When I tried to speak with his Office Manager, Margret, she was completely rude and unemphatic, unapologetic, quoting billing codes and procedure, as opposed to listening and understanding that I asked 3 staff members if I would be billed for the colonoscopy separately from the office visit - who all said I wouldn't - but she didn't care! When I went to his follow up appointment, which he's going to also bill me for (5 bills now and counting) he spent 5 minutes with me to say, your test results were fine, you are OK, goodbye. Really? Don't bother with this doctor or his practice's offices. We pay so much money for healthcare, it should be worth… it.

This man here appears to be a Doctor but it seems that he bought his degree because he doesn't has any experience of how to treat a patient properly by his way of acting and expressing himself towards others. I hope you keep seeing many patients.?

My husband saw Dr Brunner and he was terrific - me on the other hand, can't get an appointment as his staff does not answer phones or return calls - finally have an appointment - get there - no one there - call the numbers and service and told they don't open until 9AM! I'm sitting there since 8:10 AM waiting for my 8:30 appointment - the girl I finally talk to says she was late - then she says they did have 8:30 patients - hmmm I was there and not another single person - she needs to get her story straight! SO I'll be looking for another dr with a competent staff .... if a dr can't have his office run decently, maybe it says something about him too??
