Dr. Robert Charles Dauser, MD

13 years ago we were faced with a diagnosis of Hydrocephalus on our new born baby, for the parents out there who have never experienced such a thing is is hard to described, all I can say is that Frightening does not come close. Enter Dr. Robert Dauser, not only a man with gifted hands but a heart of gold, he remembers each and everyone of his patients, our little girl is a young lady now and is thriving in all areas of her life, not a day goes by that I am not Thankful for this kind soul inside this wonderful Dr. As it was put to me by Dr. Ben Carson "You can not be in better hands for this procedure" His staff is wonderful and they do not sugar coat things, you know exactly what you face yet you feel at ease because you are at the right place.

I was a patient of Dr. Dauser as a child. While he had great bed side manner and always followed up, he never explained anything to me. That was understandable, most of the time adults do not think that children will not understand. What is worse is that he made mistakes and he lied. I had four brain surgeries and found out many years later I should have only maybe had two. I understand no one is infallible, but I do expect honesty especially from the person I am supposed to trust with my life. To top everything off I have a VP shunt that was put in by this doctor, and it never really worked right. Years later when it got much worse I sought out help once again but from a different neurosurgeon. He told me the distal end in my abdomen was not in the right place and that it did not sound like it ever had been. If you need a VP Shunt I would not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Dauser has been such a gift to my family that it's hard for me to verbalize the impact he made. He performed surgery on my granddaughter, Zoe, when she was 3 months old. The surgery was on her spine, and I am not going to go into details about it. I just want you and Dr. Dauser to know that, even though that has been over seven years ago, I thank God for Dr. Dauser's knowledge and steady hands because he was able to fix what was wrong with our precious little angel. We will forever be grateful for the change that he effected in all of our lives. He IS a miracle worker and we were blessed to be in Houston, right where we needed to be, when we needed Dr. Dauser so desperately. Dr. Dauser goes through his day, steadfastly doing his work, and I wish there were some way to explain to him how grateful our family is. I hope and pray that God will bless him with all the goodness that can come his way for the sacrifices he has made to be able to help a beautiful little girl… with curly hair and an insignificant, disappearing, scar almost all the way down her little back. We will remember Dr. Dauser's gently care for the rest of our lives and it will always warm our hearts.

Dr. Dauser is a really good doctor. My daughter has seen him since she was born and he's done all her surgeries. He is very attentive to my daughter and to me and my husband and takes the time to go over what he is going to do before and after. He doesn't make promises he tells us the straight truth which is what I think every parent wants. I would totally recommend him.

Our son was diagnosed with craniosynstosis shortly after birth. It was a very scary time for us, but as soon as we met Dr. Dauser, all of our fears and anxieties disappeared. He is a very talented surgeon, but most of all, he takes the time to explain everything and discuss any concerns we had. The surgery was a success, and today when we look at our son it is amazing to see what a difference Dr. Dauser can make in a life.

Dr.Dauser,in my opinion and I am sure in many others opinion, is a outstanding neurosurgeon.He didn't just perform the the surgey and then visited me weeks after; he was the first person I saw after waking up from a 14 hour surgery.Dr.Dauser was continuously visiting me and making sure my needs were being met,from answering questions to explaining that my tumor will no longer exist.Overall I will give Dr.Dauser a 10 out of a 10 for saving my life and for guiding me through a difficult time in my life.

Our daughter had a three year battle with a brain tumor, Dr. Dauser was her main surgeon and an incredible blessing to our family. He was observant, intuitive, approachable, not to mention incredibly skilled . . . he was a partner with us (not a "provider"). I cannot say enough good about him and how much he meant to our family. We were so blessed to be under his care.

Dr Dauser has done two brain surgeries on my one year old daughter and done great in my opinion he is the best neurosurgeon in the world

When we went to see Dr. Dauser we were very nerveous because my son would need surgery. But he was so nice about it and made a decision to operate my son ASAP,THE most IMPORTANT thing was he acted quick and no hesitation on the decision and he really made my family fell that he cared.
