Dr. Robert Downing Greensides, MD

Dr. Greenside is the best cardiologist in colorado springs. I was with him and his amazing staff for 28 yrs. Without him I would not be alive today. My adult life has never compared to the exceptional care I received from this wonderful man. I would have chosen him and his staff every time if they hadn't made the rule to see an adult cardiologist. Miss Dr. Greensides and his staff. Family!

Stay away from that office. Staff are rude and unprofessional. Didn’t get answers either.

My daughter was being seen because of rheumatic fever, this doctor was rude, very short and scared my daughter when he started talking about "she made need surgery" He ignored her (shes15) and treated her like she wasn't there. He wouldn't look her or I in the eyes and acted like it was a waste of time to see her. It took me two hours to get my daughter calmed down. What a mess. On top of it all she doesn't need surgery, he didn't need to scare her like that. So unprofessional.

Dr. Greensides performed my heart surgery in '93. I continued seeing him for yearly check ups, 20 years, well into my 20s until Children's Hospital forced their rules of seeing an adult cardiologist after 21. He's a great doctor and very knowledgable! Without him I would have so many complications!

This was the worst appointment EVER. Dr. Greensides has absolutely no bedside manner. He was rude. condescending, disrespectful, I could go on and on. My son was nervous about the appointment to begin with and then to be treated so horribly by a doctor claiming to be a pediatric specialist. We left the appointment feeling outraged at his behavior and mannerism and my son, who is 11, in tears. Without even examining my child he made his diagnosis and when he did finally do an evaluation is was rough, harsh and demeaning with how he spoke to my child. I would never recommend any one to make an appointment with him! Take the time and ask for another doctor in the practice. He should definitely not be a representative of a Children's Hospital. This site makes you give a rating. A one is being generous. If I could give a negative ranking for this doctor I would!

Greensides did not even try to establish rapport with my teen who can't wait to turn 18 so he doesn't have to see this pediatric cardiologist any longer. This doctor may an expert but he communicates poorly with the patient, parents, and our family practitioner. At a recent checkup he spent a total of two minutes with us and discounted our questions. It appears to be arrogance. That same arrogance has poured over to the front office/reception staff who often act like you have personally ruined their day.

Dr. Greensides has been the greatest specialist we have had since our daughter was born. She has Down syndrome and had a serious heart defect. Dr. Greensides has been so attentive and on top of everything. We could not be happier with her care. Any time we feel we need to be seen, we are scheduled in the same day. The longest wait we have ever had once we are at the office has been 5 minutes. The other docs in the practice are terrific, too!

I recently took my son to the Pediatric Cardiology Associates, and the experience was horrible!!! An essential piece of working in the pediatric field is patience for your patients. I felt the staff was rude and unsympathetic with my child. As a specialist, it would seem obvious that these children endure more than the average child and the experiences they have are going to impact them forever. It is so sad that my child left with fear and distrust.
