- Surgical Oncology
Surgical oncologists play various roles in treating cancer. They can perform biopsies to determine if a tumor is cancerous or not. If it is, they’re trained to remove the tumor, tissue, and in some cases, all or part of an organ or bodily structure where the cancer has spread. In addition to removing cancer, they can perform any reconstructive surgeries that may be necessary.
Many surgical oncologists specialize in certain types of cancer, such as liver, lung or breast. Don’t be afraid to ask them what they have the most experience treating. When looking for a doctor, it’s important to know that general surgeons are also qualified to perform many of the same surgeries. However, surgical oncologists have specific training in recognizing and treating cancer, which some patients prefer.
- Orthopaedic Surgery

- Knee Osteoarthritis

I've never had a doctor be so rude. He was explaining what had happened, using terms I didn't understand and being hard to pin down as to the timeline and chances of healing. I kept stopping him to ask for clarification. He was impatient to the point of being snappish before flat out telling me not to interrupt him again. Because apparently it doesn't matter if I understand what's going on with my son. He knows best and we should just fall into line. I was already feeling overwhelmed and upset and confused. Now I felt stupid and hurt and angry. When the doctor finally finished talking, I stayed silent for a beat and then asked if I could talk now. At that point, he did apologize, saying that he was upset with my son's first doctor and took it out on me. That didn't make me feel better. I have no desire to return to a doctor who makes an already heartbreaking situation worse. *I gave 2 stars on "courteous Staff" because the staff other than the doctor were fine.
