Dr. Robert S Marsh, DO

Some of the qualities we appreciate about Dr. Marsh is that he listens to his patients, shows that he genuinely cares, and isn’t quick to cut! Our family is extremely thankful and grateful for Dr. Marsh and his friendly office staff. Within the past year my gymnast daughter, son who wrestles, and myself, who had a complication from a previous surgery with a previous doctor have all visited Dr. Marsh. Primarily, we my daughter was injured vaulting in gymnastics. Not enjoying the current orthopedic doctor I had been seeing, we asked on FB who others recommended and this is how we found Dr. Marsh. We felt like we struck gold! We were able to get an appointment the next day. He didn’t just blow off my daughter’s injury but asked questions and answered our questions. He was very caring, and my daughter felt comfortable with him and his recommended plan of care. A little later that year, my son was wrestling and happened to dislocate his fibula. This was an extremely rare type of… injury that had caused pain and discomfort for him. Even though my son was having a difficult time communicating, Dr. Marsh was patient, understanding and made sure to answer any questions and helped him feel confident returning to sports in a timely manner. Finally, I have also seen Dr. Marsh. After having complications with a ACL replacement and Meniscus repair coupled with a bad experience at the previous orthopedic specialist (She was never available, the office would want me to see her nurse practitioner, after 6mths post-op she recommended another extremely invasive surgery with another long recovery, it was long waits in the office, and long phone waits on hold to even make an appointment, I had a reaction to the pain meds and because she was not on call, her partners wouldn’t call in an alternative leaving me without pain medication for 3 days.) Needless to say, I was looking for a 2nd opinion, but other surgeons would not take me since I was only 6mts post opp (even other drs within the Advanced Orthopedic Practice). Thankfully, Dr. Marsh was willing see me, and look at my MRI’s. After 6mts I was still unable to walk without pain, and didn’t even have a natural gait. Professionally he disagreed with my previous doctor's recommendations but never spoke negatively about her. Dr. Marsh recommended more physical therapy to see if it would help. I appreciated that he sought out my physical therapist to see how I was doing and gage my improvement. I add this detail to describe the great care and compassion Dr. Marsh showed for me as his patient. Between the MRI, discussions with the physical therapist and asking and answering my questions Dr. Marsh was better able to pinpoint the causes of my pain and lack of improvement, and recommended a less invasive surgery. Jumping forward to the day of surgery he visited my husband and I in preop and answered any questions. My husband even noted how his bed-side manner was so much better than the previous Dr. Literally, the day after surgery I could walk with less pain and felt hope for returning to a normal lifestyle! Moreover, I went from walking with a limp and pain to enjoying a ski vacation with my family 3 months later! I am soooo very thankful that Dr. Marsh was available, heard me, and assessed my medical needs with professionalism kindness and compassion. I thank God for Dr. Marsh and the gift he is to his patients. Our family had 3 completely different needs and he was available, professional, caring, compassionate and clearly communicated with us. Our family of seven has seen a few different orthopedic specialists, between and sports injuries and accidents, but our search has ended because we trust Dr. Marsh and know that he will be available to see us when we need him.

With two visits now I am so impressed that even as a surgeon, he is working with me to find relief without surgery. This shows me he truly has my best interests in mind. He is thorough, requesting scans to make sure the problem was diagnosed correctly. He listens to all my concerns and took time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend Dr Marsh for any orthopedic needs!!!

Dr. Marsh and his staff have always been courteous, friendly and thorough. If I have questions, he answers them to my complete satisfaction. I have charcot foot and he has laid out all of my options in clear terms. He doesn't push me to make decisions I don't want to pursue at this time. I have ongoing visits and I am very satisfied with the care and consideration that I receive there.

I liked Dr. Marsh - overall good experience. I waited longer than I hoped because he was with another patient. His nurse was thoughtful to let us know it wouldn't be much longer. Little things that make a BIG difference. No one likes being stuck in those tiny room waiting for a doctor. Smart customer/patient care. When doc came in he didn't push or pressure surgery, instead he gave me a cortisone injection.now three weeks later, still pain free.

This guy made the doctors at Tulsa Bone and Joint look stupid. If you have reoccurring ankle or foot problems see Marsh.

Dr. Marsh is extraordinary in his explanation of patient's condition, and offering remedies. He is a warm, kind, highly professional individual who will take as much time as necessary to answer all questions and do his utmost to provide excellent care.
