Dr. Robert W. Dean

I highly recommend you do NOT see this dr. He is incredibly unprofessional and makes me uncomfortable. Hes more into trying to be funny, comparing things to cars and his wife than actually listening to you and your needs. Will just cut you off when talking and throw a diagnosis at you without even running any tests. I suffer from daily migraines and anxiety and he threw 9 different medications at me and sent me on my way. I ended up going over his head thru my obgyn to get a referral to a neurologist and some bloodwork done and dr dean got very defensive and wrote in my record I was difficult and referred me to a behavioral therapist. Did another referral to the therapist when I refused a pap smear during a visit because I prefer my obgyn doing that. Always late! Horrible excuses of his dog eating his shoes. Etc. And calling me knucklehead everytime I have to be there is just not ok!

Dr. Dean is the worst doctor I've ever been to. Not only does he not listen but he tried to tell me i no longer had a calcified herniated disk in my back, because my reflexes were fine. I've had this for over 6 years. My back specialist said it's never going to slip back in because its calcified, and that my body will adjust so my reflexes will go back to somewhat normal. On top of that, he refused to refill my nerve blocker and pain medications because he said i didn't need them. he wanted me to have another MRI done (just had one). When i was forced to stop taking my pain medicine (an opioid) i was in withdrawal for a month. Oh and he also told my husband he had cancer and sent him to a specialist because he had a slightly elevated white blood cell count. My husband told him he had a cold and that maybe they should wait to rerun the test. The specialist told my husband that was exactly what was wrong with him and that he was fine. We were terrified for three months all because he… refused to listen. I have no idea how he even made it through medical school.

I just had by far the absolutely worst office visit with any doctor I’ve ever seen. Dr.Robert Dean is in such a rush that he was in the room for no longer then 5 minutes. He said he didn’t understand why I was there so he just came straight to me to “hear it straight from the horses mouth” So I try and begin to tell him what is going on and he couldn’t stop cutting me off as though he didn’t really care at all! I’m trying to explain to him that I’m having extreme pain and numbness in my feet and arms, along with a hot sensation on one foot, dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations.....but he just didn’t want to hear anything and chalked it up to he thinks it’s anxiety related and he will notify my psychiatrist. Are you kidding me! I’ve had anxiety as long as I can remember so I know this isn’t anxiety related! Oh and as he’s basically pushing me out of the door to get some blood work done that I requested to check for diabetes....I’m trying to also check with him and ask him if a… previous surgery on my back to remove a mass could be related. So I say to him could this be from my surgery a few months ago and he really says “what surgery” as we are heading out of the room, so I refresh him and his reply was “ oh yeah wasn’t that just a fatty tissue removed?” I reply with yes a lipoma but it was causing nerve pain when I had it! So he says “ oh no I don’t believe that has anything to do with it”. And that’s it and I was on my way out of the door in 4 minutes!! I would definitely recommend not going to him at all. It’s a waste of time. He absolutely doesn’t care! He shouldn’t even be able to practice as a medical doctor!

Glad to again have a good PCP after Dr. Johnston.

I made an appointment with Dr. Dean over a month in advanced, but still had to wait two hours before seeing him. Once I finally made it to a room, he sent an assistant to do his job. By the time he was in the room, I had a migraine and expressed this to him. In the ten minutes he was in the room, he was more concerned with getting history from my past doctors and issues that would be long-term care than what was causing my pain. He didn’t address my headaches or allergies. Apparently, his time is more valuable that mine.
