Dr. Roberta Anne Lee, MD

Was great for first few visits, then abrupt and disinterested when actual work for diagnosis is needed. this is a great office if you are well and have only the need for perscription for antibiotics or something like that. If you have a more serious illness, best to keep looking. Dr. lee only wants to treat those who have minor illnesses and need little attention.

I went to see Dr. Lee after years of dissatisfaction with my doctors. Over the last twenty years, other than some awesome OB/gyn, she was the best. She listens, but also tested me for leptin and C reactive protein, both markers for inflammation. I ended up having a follow up with the Center's nutritionist and started a leptin resistance diet, as my inflammation was high. I also appreciated that she did not constantly push medication on me, but did recommend vitamins and other supplements first before resorting to prescription meds. I have recommended her to several friends who have also been happy with her expertise.

I went for only one visit so far to Dr. Lee. I was seeing another doctor for a few years and even though she was nice, I did not find her knowledgeable at all. Dr. Lee gets right to the point overall and is an excellent clinician and in the one visit she gave me more information than I received from the other dr. for the previous few years. She wants to see past medical records, etc. and she seemed a bit tough but this was well worth the visit. I would rather speak to an intelligent Dr. than to one who is friendly and knows very little. I am looking forward to seeing her again. She seems to be spot on with observations and advice. I think she is a brilliant woman and if some of the office was not as polite then it is still well worth a visit with a doctor who is spot on with everything that she said. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Yes you do have to wait for an appointment but if someone needs to see someone within network and she takes insurance and was very good.

Doctor was abrupt and follow-up was POOR.I had to email to follow-up and her email responses were neither prompt nor relevant to my questions- I did not feel understood or validated-to repeat, barely connecting to my concerns or questions. This was disappointing, as I was expecting more from an alternative MD- per the importance of a relationship. I do not recommend this doctor.

I don't care how many or what kind of credentials you have -- if you're a terrible listener, you make a terrible doctor. Like too many doctors, she walks in with her own preconceptions that are independent of anything the patient has to say, and will misdiagnose them based on those preconceptions. When you're speaking, she doesn't hear you because she's already busy thinking about what she wants to say in response. I am a succinct person. I do not appreciate being interrupted, or wasting my time with doctors who clearly have no respect their patients.

Dr. Lee has been my primary-care physician for a few years and I've been very pleased. Alternatives to western medicine are available but not pushed onto the patient. I've recommended her and the Center for Health and Healing to many friends.
