Dr. Rodney Francis Pommier, MD

Dr.Pammier was not my main surgeon. He was highly recommended by my surgical oncologist, to assist her with a very complicated procedure. As he holds the pinnacle amongst his fellow surgeons. My surgery was very successful and I recommend his experience Just not his bed side manner.

Dr. Rodney F. Pommier performed the surgery and did the follow-up appointments with me regarding my diagnosis of late stage Evans' tumor that was >6" in size. The surgery was very successful and to this day I am cancer free. Just as important - he showed compassion during my treatment and diagnosis, was tremendously encouraging during my recovery and constantly kept me informed (never talked down to me or acted condescendingly) of the prognosis, the treatment and my status. While I cannot see him anymore (I had to move with a job to another location) - he holds high esteem with me. Thank you for everything you did for me!

Dr. Pommier has the patience of a saint. Through all the testing he took more time than I could ever have imagined in explaining, by phone and in office, my diagnosis of pancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma and the paths of treatment available. He and his staff are most professional and show kindness in person and by phone. My several-hour surgery was performed successfully laparascopically and it's been over a year - recent scans showed "no new tumors!" I thank you, Dr. Pommier, and my family and prayer warriors thank you. May God bless you as you continue to give so much time to teaching and caring for others!!!

Dr. Pommier is an amazing physician. He is an expert and care so much for his patients. Some people complain that he runs behind, but he is working with cancer patients, and he spend so much time with each one, to make sure they are getting the care they need and deserve. I would reccomend him to everyone.

Dr. Pommier genuinely cares about all of his patients and it shows in the time he takes to answer questions and provide follow-up information. He rates up there as the best...and I have a long list of doctors over the years.

My mamogram detected an abnormality - but my OB/GYN could not detect a lump. I was fortunate to have known about Dr. Pomier. After some testing, he was 95% sure I had breast cancer. It seemed like a death sentence to me - but he stayed in the room and talked to me. He cared about me being in a crisis situation. Now I understand why his appointments run late.He is also a skilled surgeon and intelligent person. If you look up his cancer patient survivor rates and compare them to other Doctors, you will want him to do your surgery and followups. He's my Doctor and I'm sticking with him!

I scheduled an appointment after meeting Dr. Pommier up in Seattle in April. I was called a few days before my appointment and asked to move it up to 12:00. I did that happily. On the day of the appointment I arrived a few minutes before 12 and was told that Dr. Pommier was running late and would be with me at 12:30. I waited for him until 2:00 and finally had to leave to get back to my job. I was very disappointed to be treated so poorly. Dr. Pommier just doesn't care about people and it shows.
