Dr. Roger A True, MD

I first met Doc when he was in residency at Flower hospital in the family practice program. I was a nurse and we all loved the way he treated not only the pts but also us with respect. He did not mind taking advice or suggestions from us, asked us questions, and said that he almost as much from us as he did in the office. As soon as he set up his practice many of us switched our health care to him. We work with a lot of docs so we know who is good and can trust. He has been my PCP ever since and even though I sometimes had to wait to see him I knew he would take the time to really listen and treat me like those ahead of and behind me. He even has his office call about every six months for me to come in for a checkup, med check, blood work, etc if I’ve not been in for anything else. I’ve never felt like he’s missing something, if he can’t find an answer to something he’ll send you to someone who can. He doesn’t treat just a disease, he treats the whole person, mind, body, and… soul.

No sense of loyalty to patients that return needing a doctor after moving away. Never did a blood test the time I was under his care,I'm sure for his religious reasons. Probably why I had to move away to get diagnosed with a lifelong illness iv had my whole life unknowingly while under his care. But I can't even get past the horrific medical secretares to even explain anything to the doctor I thought I had a good patient/doc relationship with, so oh well.

Roger is a true professional and has provided outstanding medical care and advice for me and my family. Very down to Earth and speaks frankly in terms the patient can understand.

I love Dr. True. He takes time to explain what's going on with me. I am grateful for such a wonderful doctor!

Time management is a problem, I alway wait wait an hour plus to see him. I feel Pro Medica is at fault probably requiring him to see so many patients per day etc. He is a kind man and he does listen to me when converse with him. He has failed to diagnose some of my illness. My illness were diagnosed by Dr Rheams when Dr True was on vacation, twice! Thank God for his vacations. I feel Dr True does his best but he seems pushed for time. His office staff, mainly the people that answer the phone are lacking training and professional skills. I have actually caught them in lies....how can I trust that medical facility when you catch them in lies? I have thought about changing doctors just because of the horrible staffing. I had test run and i called for 4 weeks after the test were run asking what the results were. The nurses would tell me the report were not back, etc.....I finally had to speak with the office manager to get my answer she told me the results were in 3 weeks ago and that I… need to start medication immediately. The receptionist and the lady that handles the payments are very profession and know their jobs; but the rest of the staff should be terminated, lack of training is one thing but telling lies to the patients is another matter.

I WAITED IN THE WAITING ROOM 1.5 HRS.THEN WAITED ANOTHER HALF AN HOUR TOFINALLY SEE THE DOCTOR IN THE EXAMININGROOM.

Although there is always a long wait it's worth it because the doctor never rushes you out the door like a lot of doctors do. He takes his time and listens to you which is rare these days. Wish there were more doctors like Dr. True!

Doctor True truly does mean well, but he is far too quick to write his patients a prescription for whatever they are willing to ask for. A doctor should prescribe the medication for the condition as he sees fit and not give the patient a medication they request - particularly in the case of narcotic/controlled medications. I am an addict and spent well over five years getting a ridiculous amount of pain medication from Dr. True, simply by wearing low cut tops and complaining about knee pain. Although he has a kind heart and really does mean well, this man should not be allowed to practice medicine in this country.

Dr True is truely a nice guy. And is fine if all you need is to fill a script. However, for any real health problems he just sends you on a goose chase. He also seems to have a hard time admitting when he has made a mistake. Nice guy but I need a Dr.

DR True is excellent, his staff is horrible
