Dr. Ronald Schlotfeldt II, MD

What can I say, I thought I was being hypersensitive, but reading most of the other reviews here solidifies my negative experience with this doctor. Demeaning, accusatory, cutting me off when speaking with him, I felt like I was on trial. When I explained my concerns, he made me feel like I was a fool for believing what was written about a medication's side effects. I had two visits with him, and they were both equally terrible. I gave two stars instead of one for the fact that he backed off a bit when I called him on his attitude, but nobody should have to put up with this.

I saw Dr. Schlotfeldt today for a myriad of problems I have neglected for a long time. He didn't preach at me, just got down to business and addressed every concern I had. He also got me referred to the specialists I need to see. Super pleasant and direct.

I’ve been going to Dr. Schlotfeldt for about a year. He’s always been on time friendly, helpful and fast. I’ve read some of the other reviews and find that highly out of character from what my experience has been.

Terrible Experience. He was horrible to me. Accused me of having Covid when I didn't. Yelled at me in front of my 5 yr old daughter. Everything that transpired in his office is on Joyrate. Check out that site to see how terrible this dr is.

During my initial appointment, I asked Dr. Schlotfeldt if he could clarify the difference between two medications I was considering. He said one is “a direct stimulant” and one is an “indirect stimulant.” I asked if he could explain that difference and he snapped, “I told you, one is a direct stimulant and one is an indirect stimulant.” He then dismissed further questions. It should be obvious that this response provides no useful information to someone without the medical knowledge to distinguish between two medical terms. If a dr. Is too irritated or busy to provide minimally useful information in response to a basic medical question, then he is wasting your time. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

I have been Dr. Schlotfeldt patient for the last 6 months or so. First time, I went there for the regular check up and a bad breath problem. He right away diagnosed me with Halitosis that is now in my medical record even though it was just due to stress and is now resolved (I'm a scientist turned entrepreneur). He asked me questions and he got mad because I could not remember what vaccines I got before traveling for my honeymoon trip. He also got mad because I could not remember the dosage of the Vitamin D supplement I was taking. He wanted textbook answers for the computer. The second time I went there with pain in my shoulder, knowing it was a calcium deposit. I told him I knew because it happen to me before (in the knee) and because my mum and my aunt had the same issue. I did not ask for painkillers but for PT. He did not believe me (because of my Spanish accent?) and order glutamic acid analysis "to discard gout". I did not have pain in the joints and I ended up paying for… this analysis and also for the X-rays I needed to convince him (and an extra X-ray of the knee even though I had no problem there). The X-ray showed the calcium deposit and I could go to PT just before he went on vacation. Overall, I had to overpay for medical analysis because he did not believe what I said. Frustrating.

I had a well visit with him. It went awful as he seems not listening. And a lot of billing issues. Also he forgot to order a lipid panel blood work at my visit so he made me to go to the lab twice!!

Dr. Schlotfeldt was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. He took his time to listen to the issues I had and made sure I understood potential treatment options. Great doctor and great staff!

Very knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions

I found Dr Schlotfeldt to be friendly with good bedside manner. More importantly he asked relevant questions to get me describing my primary problem. His examination was very thorough and I left feeling confident that I would soon be better. The office staff and nurses were very good as well.
