Dr. R. Isela Machado, MD

R. Isela Machado, M.D., is a board-certified physician who specializes in primary care for patients of all ages. She has a broad range of practice experience, from women's health and chronic condition management to preventative care and office-based procedures. With a focus on patient-centered care, Dr. Machado takes pride in treating every patient with dignity and respect. She is an active listener who establishes a supportive environment where patients feel empowered to take part in their health care decisions. Dr. Machado also takes the time to establish a positive connection with patients, reviewing and discussing all health needs, no matter how small. A proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, she earned a medical degree from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Machado then completed her general surgery internship in Phoenix at the Maricopa Medical Center, followed by a family medicine residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas. An Arizona native, Dr. Machado enjoys the warm and sunny Tucson climate. She also appreciates the diverse and welcoming culture of the Southwest.
