Worst pap smear I ever had, painful, bled for days after, could barely sit down for days, he then wanted to pray with me after. First and last visit with him.

I'm over sixty, had a thorough exam as a new patient, and received a referral to another physician regarding an unrelated problem. My treatments choices were described to me clearly & I was welcome to choose from those alternatives. I'm an agnostic who was grateful to participate in a word of prayer with this kind and gentle man. Nothing over the top, just a short and sweet prayer. I would always recommend this doctor.

I had been to see dr a # of times re: a small fluid fill cyst. After following for 3/4 of a yr w/o change, dr decided to biopsy in office w/o benefit of anethesia. Painful! & no result- the fluid was too viscuous for the small higher gauge needle. Dr. suggested 30 min. outpatient procedure under anesthesia. During prodecure dr. still did not have correct needle so he attempted laporoscopy and sliced my intestine open in 8 places! He called in a surgeon to repair the damage-8 hr surgery. During which stringfellow decided to do a complete hysteroctomy because if I ever had problems in the future it would be too risky w/ the adhesions the current surgery would leave. I woke up the next day only to prepare for a 6 wk hospital stay.

Dr. Stringfellow I believe is a competent doctor. He was attentive and discovered a problem out of his field and recommended a very good gastroenterogolist (sp?). However! We both could have done without the prayer session at the end of the appointment. We went there for my wife's exam expecting to be seen by a physician, not a priest.

Very recently I went through surgery administered by Dr Stringfellow. He is very professional, loving and caring. He's my hero. My angel and God sent. He saved my life. He's beyond being professional- he cares.

Dr Stringfellow is a very caring, thoughtful doctor. He listens to his patients and shows a genuine interest in their well being. He is very religious and will pray with his patients so keep this in mind when making an appointment. He is the most caring and skillful doctor I see and I am so grateful that he is my doctor.
