Dr McKelway has been seeing my mother for 20 years or more and has her doing very well! Thank you Dr. McKelway!!

My family member is using this doctor and he is getting worse and the doctor would not meet with us to get the whole picture. He thinks seeing his patient in the office is sufficient to access the whole situation. It’s got so bad that we are sereosly concern about his well being

Dr.Mckelway has been my Dr for over 3 years. He has been a blessing to my life helping bring the mental help as I received spiritual help through the Lord. He is to the point, and honest but caring to my specific mental health needs. I also appreciate his receptionist Mary whom has done everything she is able to help as well.

#1 - the secretary is rude. #2 - he WAY overmedicates. #3 - refused to refill my prescription because I owed him money, knowing full well he put me on a medication that is nearly impossible to come off of cold turkey. I tried to come off of it and I felt horrible and I was incapable of doing anything. Ended up having to call my GP and beg him to please fill the script.

I have never seen him personally, but have been in his office watching his office staff interact, and they seem to hide behind the glass doors, not cordial with the patients like they are going to get infected with mental problems if they even LOOK at you. Very weird.

Quiet mannered does not offer real help. Zero followup and ZERO therapy. If you have a problem you had better go somewhere where you can have a real psychologist share real life assistance. If you just want pills, he's your man. He is a joke.

Had never had luck with psychiatric care before. Dr. Mckelway is very knowledgeable and has finally led me to an accurate diagnosis and treatment that helps. I have been with him more than a year and he has seen me throughout my worst and is getting me back the light. Very intelligent and insightful; however is very easy to communicate with and understand even the most complex problems. I have been rhrough rough spots, but he has never made me feel bad, just helped me fix it or gave solid advice.

I was referred to Dr. Mckelway by my GP when I needed to change anti-depressants. My experience with him was simply awful; He was curt and patronizing, and when I struggled to answer questions from the clipboard he barely looked up from, he became visibly irritated. He was clearly all about the medication. Why would a doctor so clearly lacking in interpersonal skills specialize in the field of psychiatry?
