You can expect to wait months for a new patient appointment with her, so just know that, but good things are worth waiting for. She was very knowledgeable, inquisitive, thorough, spent over an hour with me. That's saying a lot right there. She entered every detail into the database, all while asking me questions about my history and making recommendations for other tests and labwork. I'm quite happy with my choice.

I was going through so much medically when I first started with her. I feel like she saved my (quality of) life ! I can’t imagine seeing anyone else

Dr. Wieland looks collectively at my complete medical history. She is very knowledgeable and kind. She evaluated “my” current health plan, and with me, created a treatment/maintenance course of action. She takes time to see me as a person and not just another patient. She evaluates my meds but also suggests life style tips to maximize my treatment. I feel that my medical care is in very good hands.

Two hours into her day she is running an hour and fifteen minutes behind without apology. This follow up appointment was for meds as I have colesterol issues and hypertension. I discover neither was tested as part of the labs taken a week earlier. I nail fungus shows no improvement after the meds she prescribed and it's clear she has nothing to offer. A liver panel was required for the previous prescription which she never did. A persistent cough she prescribed for remains and also has her stymied. I discover, by accident, she has never made a request for my previous medical records. This woman is dangerously incompetent and disorganized. She had moved her practice from KY, to NC and now to SC. While the move may be innocent, her behavior makes me suspicious. Stay away

Dr. Wieland has been one of the most caring and comprehensive physicians I have had. She goes beyond the typical doctor's visit to treat me as the whole patient not just my current symptoms. I give her the highest rating and recommendation. If you want someone who really cares, who does not rush you and who, when you meet with her, you feel really cares about your well being then visit with Dr. Wieland.

I found on the Carolina Health Specialist of Little River website that Dr. Ruth Wieland was joining Carolina Health.

Like others, I was very happy with Dr. Wieland. I am/was new to the area and had a very hard time finding a doctor. I don't believe Sunset, which is now McLeod does not know where she is. I would love to find her and hopes she will continue to see me as a patient.
