WE had a very bad experience with Dr. Lonial. Although he supposedly has a great reputation, this was not our experience. He was careless, did not seem genuine, and was clearly more concerned with himself and his ego than that of my brother. He barely does anything by himself, which is probably a good thing because this doctor should stay in the lab and not be allowed to interact with patients.

After nearly a year of misdiagnosis, it was such a relief to feel like my care was in the hands of someone so competent. I felt informed every step of the way. The results of my treatment have been all I could have hoped for. I am truly grateful to have him as my doctor.

One of our most memorable days was day one of meeting Dr. Lonial. Prior to meeting with him, any person that was going to have anything to do with my husband's care for his stem cell transplant came in one by one to introduce themselves and talk with us about what their role would be. Each of them handed us a business card so we could contact them with any questions or concerns. After meeting with the Multiple Myeloma team, Dr. Lonial came in and answered our many questions and concerns. His compassion is evident. We hold him in the highest esteem and have complete confidence in his diagnosis and treatment. My husband is now cancer free at year 2!
