Dr. Dutta saved my mother's life!

Staff good and friendly. Only problem with him was lateness.

Dr Dutta is caring and excellent doctor. He has always taken the extra time to listen and help me through my medical history and current issues.

Cares to be cool more than he cares about being a good doctor. Tried to start surgery surgery before blood was brought down. Thank God for a conscientious anesthesiologist.

My initial office visit came on the heels of an unscheduled stop at the Emergency Room with acute urinary retention. So I was trying to get used to a Foley catheter during my initial consultation with Dr Dutta. We discussed various treatments for prostate cancer and possible solutions to the acute urinary retention, and then we made a follow-up appointment for 4 weeks down the road. When I checked the After Visit Summary, I saw for the first time that he had scheduled two procedures - a Cystoscopy and TRUS - without mentioning either in our office visit. The lack of communication disturbed me, but in trying to contact his office to get more detail on how to prepare, I have still received nothing but silence over the past 3 weeks. That doesn't work for me, so I have asked my GP for a new referral and will be transferring to a new urologist before the week is done. All this has been an unnecessary negative and frustrating experience. Just on the basis of this first visit I… would not recommend this urologist to anyone.

Reversal was not successful. May or may not be the skill of the doctor. I wish there was a better way to rate or find Urologists VR success rates. Unfortunately there is no national database available and you have to go by what the doctor tells you. If the Urology Clinic of Portland or Dr Dutta never calls to find out if your reversal was successful how do they know what there success rate is?!!?!?

I will have to deal with some bad result from trusting Dr. Dutta for the rest of my life. Don't let this used-car-salesmen of a Doctor pull one over on you too.

He answered all my questions and was very personable. All in all the entire visit was professional and easy (on my end) when it could have been much worse.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Dutta. He took no real interest in solving my problem. He Insisted an expensive surgery would help me, but it has only made everything worse. I don't know why I trusted this Doctor.
