Dr. Sam Paul Smith

The doctor was rushed and in a hurry he was bouncing in rooms like a ball. He didn't explain what he was doing or why. He didnt say anything about antibiotics till I brought it up. I was very unhappy and still in discomfort and don't know what to do. Do I try to find someone else or what?

I saw Dr. Smith for the first time and I will never go back. I had to ask his assistant for a gown (which was so cheap it ripped to shreds when I sat down in it), and when he came in the room, he asked me a couple of questions, grabbed the can of nitrogen and started burning. He was doing this in room light with no magnifiers, so I'm not quite sure how he was seeing all of those keratotic lesions I've never noticed myself. In about two minutes, he left me with more than 40 blisters, and I stopped him before he started on my face. He skipped my scalp completely, and didn't really look at all of my body. As a melanoma survivor, I need a more thorough and complete exam, not three minutes with somebody going through the motions and hurting me in the process.

Saw Dr Smith Oct 2017. Wasn't given a gown, he checks only what he can see--he did same w my husband--expects you to return for the remainder of skin check; he WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE FOUND my squamous cell Ca if I hadn't asked for a gown. Took a CHUNK of skin from my chest that didn't BEGIN to epithelialize for 9 days. (Another Dermatologist made an incision, than placed sutures.) He said he needed to do same to tip of my NOSE--I said I'd wait--another Derm froze that spot and it FELL OFF--glad I didn't let him disfigure my face! He was critical of other doctors. When his office called me to give positive cancer results, I was surprised to hear the words "you have cancer," said "I'll have to call you back." I hung up, but my phone rang a moment later, the person yelled at me, scolding, "How dare you hang up on me!!" I called the doctor, left a voice mail advising him of this--he NEVER returned my call!

gone to Dr Smith over several years. he gets right to your problem and acts quickly on it. I have recommended him to many family and friends, and they report similar experience.

Over the many years I have been a patient, all of my experiences with Dr. Smith and his staff have been excellent. He takes his time, listens and answers every question asked.

Went in for a skin cancer check. Waited for a long time in the waiting room and then for a long time in the patient room. The skin cancer check was very inadequate. He checked my face, arms, front of my lower legs and what he could see of my chest and back by stretching the neck of my t-shirt. I have had skin cancer checks in the past and always changed into a gown followed by a check of the skin on my face, head, neck, ears, chest, stomach, back, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet. Dr. Smith checked only 1/4 of the skin on my body, if that. He said that he would call in a prescription but that never happened even though I asked his nurse about it as I was leaving. It seemed like he was in a huge rush, which I understand given the fact that he was running so far behind schedule, but this shouldn't result in inadequate treatment for other patients. I now will be charged for this service but feel that I need to go elsewhere to actually get a skin cancer check. Very… frustrating and disappointing!

Dr. Smith was very accurate in diagnosing the problem . He also was very kind, gentle andcompassionate.

Loved it! Appt. in 3 days, totally professional, quick and competent; office staff were very good.Had a 10:30 appt, got there at 10:15, was done (including surgical procedure and copy of paperwork)and out the door at 10:40.This is how all medical offices should be run.

Dr. Smith is great, his staff (MA) sucks.
