Dr. Samuel Lee Abbate, MD

Dr. Abbate is an excellent endocrinologist who studies hard to stay on top of his game. He is very well informed and he treats not only me, but my friends and family.

I suffered with thyroid disease symptoms for 4 years and went to multiple doctors who said the same thing "blood work is in normal range". By the time my blood work was not in the "normal range", it was so far out of wack I could barely function. What I love about Dr. Abbate is that he doesn't base everything on blood work but how I feel too. I also like that he makes small adjustments my medication dose. At first I needed a higher does but over several years of small adjustment I take a much lower dose and my thyroid is happy. He listens to me, is very patient and never rushed, and often personally calls me to discuss lab results and treatment rather than his medical assistants. That just doesn't happen in this day in age and it's very helpful because I generally have a lot of questions that his medical assistant can't answer.

Excellent care.. knowledgeable and un hurried..takes the time to answer ALL your questions and hears you when he listens. Really give superior care...

He is observant and helpful when you make your needs known. Everything is down to a science. Be aware that as with all doctors now, time is spent on the computer, and since computer programs ask for only specific kinds of information, it is up to the patient to be prepared. He is gentle; he is kind; he is appropriate; he is organized but he may need to draw the patient out more in the event the patient has overlooked something.

Dr. Abbate shows concern and respect for his patients. Spent much more time with me than other doctors.
