His training includes: - Medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia - Internship at the Yale University affiliate St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport CT - Research fellowship at The Schepens Eye Research Institute affiliated with Harvard University - Ophthalmology residency at George Washington University - Glaucoma Fellowship at University of California, San Diego. He helped originate the Glaucoma Co-Management Roundtable to improve patient care through better communication and education. As an active volunteer in the community offering periodic free screenings and specific community outreach programs, Dr. Boles serves on the Board of Directors for The Polakoff Foundation and the Maryland Society for Sight.
