As I read all of the bad reviews I have to reflect back when I first started going to Dr. Sam. A lot of the times I would take my children in and they would tell me it was just a virus. A lot of the times I would go home wondering if they were right. Sometimes it made me angry until my daughter became extremely ill when she just turned age 5. When I brought her in I thought that I would be sent home that it was just a virus. Dr. Sam took one look at her and went into action. She was very ill and if not given the right treatment she would have died. In the end Dr. Sam without a doubt SAVED MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE. I will forever trust what they say. Some people forget that doctors are people to and will not connect with everyone's personality. I do agree that the staff could use a course in customer services sometimes and as for the wait time in the office just remember it is the staff that books appointments and when they are not on time with check in and check outs. Then the doctors are off.
Everytime I go into the office when my kids are sick, they always say that they have nothing and I'm worring too much, and it will go away on its own. I took my daughter in because she was complaining about a stomach ache, she had a fever of over 103 and couldnt keep her fever down, I took her in he was in the room for 5 min felt her stomach, checked her ears and eyes and told me it was a virus my daughter was crying the whole time because she had not slept from the previous night and he told her to stop crying, not sensitive at all to how she felt (she's 3), the following day I took her back because she started vomiting and didnt want to eat, and i got worried that it could be strep, took her in and gave me the look on why I was back there again, I asked to have a strep test done and he wouldnt do it, I had to demand one and he finally had the nurse come in and do one. They are very unprofessional, rude, and has no respect for parents. Save yourself money and time and dont go to these doctors, kids deserve the best.
If this is a good doctor he should know the kind of medical staff he hires! The staff has to asked me the previous shot my child has when they should have it recorded! I have given them a copy of all the previous records from my previous pediatrician in another state. Its a good thing I keep records of the shots of my child otherwise...! this is terrible...requested for the medical records of my child and its one month now and the staff says they will call me despite my numerous call and pleads that I am moving very soon!!
First let me say, my son is a preemie who spent first month of his life in NICU. It is therefore understandable that he might be more "fussy" than a term 3mo old. We saw Dr Sam...who should have the MD from his name deleted!! My son was crying because he was handling him like a rag doll!! What came next STILL makes my blood boil! "Dr" Sam pounded my sons chest with his open palm and told him to "man up and grow a pair!" This mans license should be revoked!! He will never touch my child again...don't let him touch your children either!
our visit was great. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz. He is great with kids. My son is 10 years old and is usually nervous and shy with doctors. Dr. Schwartz made my son feel comfortable. My son got a shot and didnt even blink! Five stars for you and your office. Thanks for making our visit quick and painless.
